Blue Whale Global Media’s Post

ARE YOU BASED IN THE AMERICAS AND WANT TO WORK ON FOOTBALL/SOCCER TRANSLATIONS? As the World Cup in 2026 in #Canada, #Mexico and #UnitedStates draws closer, more and more content is being produced for audiences in the #Americas and during the Americas time zones. At Blue Whale, we're now looking to bring on more translators based in North, Central & South #America to join our hashtag #Arabic, #BRPortuguese, #French, #German & #Spanish #translation teams as remote freelancers. We are looking for #native #English speakers who have one or more of those #languages in their combination, who will work primarily on audio-to-text translations from those languages into English. We're also looking for hashtag #native speakers of those five languages who have strong English to work on audio-to-text translations into English & into their mother tongue, as well as mother tongue audio-to-text transcriptions. On top of that, you will also have the opportunity to work on English > mother tongue text-to-text translations. If you're based in the Americas, fulfil the criteria above and are interested in being a part of our team for this kind of work, please leave a comment below, and our Head of Recruitment will then directly contact suitable candidates to discuss further details.

Hello. I am an English - Brazilian Portuguese translator based in Brazil with over 12 years of experience and a huge fan of the sport. I've also had the opportunity to work in big projects regarding football/soccer. - I have collected real world data relating to the real-life attributes of players within global football teams (including biographical information, models (i.e. face/head graphics), playing style, skill moves and celebratory moves) as well as information relating to the teams that they play within such as team composition, formation, strategy and roles within the team for the Pro Evolution Soccer series; - More recently, I have translated and transcreated commentator scripts for the FIFA series of video games. I am very interested in being a part of this project. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further information.
