The Power of Believing in Yourself to Change the World: The Story of Bertha Benz. When we believe in ourselves, we can turn dreams into reality. Bertha Benz, wife of Karl Benz and a key force behind the development of the first automobile, is a powerful example of this. In 1888, Bertha set out on the first long-distance journey by car, a feat many thought impossible. Alone, she covered over 100 kilometers to prove that her husband’s invention and her own conviction could change the future. Along the way, Bertha overcame challenges with creativity and courage. When the car broke down, she fixed it herself; when fuel was running low, she improvised solutions. Every step she took, driven by her belief in this groundbreaking idea, paved the way for a revolution in transportation. Believing in ourselves is a powerful force that allows us to challenge the status quo and create new paths where none exist. Like Bertha, each of us has the ability to accomplish extraordinary things. All we need is the determination to keep going, even when no one else sees what we see. Today, I remind myself and invite each of you to believe in yourself, in your ideas, and in your ability to make the world a better place.
