Grok-2 Takes xAI to New Heights, Outperforming GPT-4 and Claude! Grok-2, now available in beta on the X platform, has achieved state-of-the-art performance, outperforming major competitors like Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI’s GPT-4 in key areas. This marks a pivotal moment for the startup, which initially launched Grok-1 as a niche, no-filter chatbot. This development positions xAI as a serious contender in the AI industry, offering a model that not only excels in technical benchmarks but also has practical applications ready for enterprise use. With the upcoming release of an enterprise API, xAI is set to attract significant interest from businesses seeking cutting-edge AI solutions. The startup’s access to vast real-time data from X and its ability to draw top-tier talent under Elon Musk’s leadership further solidify its potential for rapid growth and long-term success in the competitive AI market.

"Are we there yet?" Listen to Y Combinator's eagle-eye view rather than "the word from the herd" - A year is a long time in AI: "...it's hard to even remember now but a year ago one of the things that people said a lot was that these LLMs are not reliable enough to deploy in the Enterprise they hallucinate... [but now] not only is it translating into real Revenue but translating into real deployments that are being used at Large Scale ...because we've learned how to make the agents reliable via the kinds of techniques that Jake talked about when he was here and all this infrastructure has grown up around the models, it's enabled people to make them reliable. https://lnkd.in/dhtMdgQk #agents #llm #ai

I love hearing investors talk about the importance of design )last half of this clip). It’s one of the reasons Jason Calacanis was the first money into Semanttic AI. Design = PMF. Usability, task completion, content, information architecture, interaction design, the user journey and (yes) aesthetics are all critical to defining what the product is, whom it is for, and ultimately finding your PMF. None of it happens organically or by accident. And props to Props AI 🙌

We’ve spent much of this year at Gitwit in the weeds of AI — giving presentations, creating AI-focused content, and most importantly building new products and exploring new GTM approaches. While we’ve been running hard and fast at AI opportunities, we also wanted to ask ourselves critically why and how Gitwit wins in the new AI-enabled future. In a way that has defined much of how we solve problems, we wanted to step back and draft some thoughts on the opportunity and where we fit. It was a thought exercise designed to frame the moment not through the lens of a cheap strategy framework, but through an essay that explored the AI topic. It is not meant to be a mission, vision, or a strategy, but rather a catalyst for us to think about the future from a blank page. We did this originally as an internal exercise for our team only, but after the fact I think it’s worth sharing. Read our ‘AI Manifesto’ — at the very least I hope it gives you a new frame for how to think of the excitement and inevitable change that lies ahead. https://lnkd.in/g7u5UsgS

We’re thrilled to be featured in Business Insider for our advancements in multi-agent systems! Emergence, a foundational AI lab, is advancing the science of intelligent agents with a mission to create self-improving AI agents capable of hierarchical planning, acting, reasoning, and remembering. Self-improvement is essential for overcoming the brittleness of current systems, enabling agents to remain robust and adapt autonomously to changing environments. Our CEO and Co-founder, Satya Nitta, shares thoughts on how Emergence is driving advancements in AI with self-improvement within the context of enterprise workflows. From summarizing reports for market research to processing claims and invoices, our AI agents are designed to intelligently collaborate and adapt to variability. Thank you to Business Insider and Sri Muppidi for highlighting our work. Interesting article! "If AI’s a rising tide, why isn’t it lifting more boats?" by Jacob Robbins, discusses the impact of generative AI on the tech industry. Contrary to what I may have thought given the "AI disruption" noises across all sector verticals including the Prop-tech space, it highlights the challenges faced by start-ups in competing with big tech companies. It also emphasizes the importance of strategic positioning, addressing integrity questions in AI models, and finding opportunities for collaboration between start-ups and big tech. Overall, it provides valuable perspectives for those navigating the AI landscape and tech industry

It feels glorious to see stories sprinkled about that are proclaiming the end of the AI hype cycle. Long-overdue. This is good news. Doesn't change the fundamentals of the change that is brewing. Increases in computing power still portend massive changes ahead. But the coming reduction in market noise signals that vendors are moving beyond the stage of "talking" about AI and getting more into the hard work of developing the AI applications that generate market value. #ArtificialIntelligence #PostHype #RollingUpTheSleeves
