Transforming today, shaping tomorrow: SUNSHINE's journey.

The aquatic sampling kits are on route to Norway! and we can not wait to see the data! 🌊🔬 Next month, polar explorer Keith Tuffley and his crew set off on a journey of discovery, a 4-month sailing expedition across the Northwest Passage. 🌍 The mission? They’ll explore, research, and document the vital role of the Arctic in the global ecosystem, to understand more about its rich biodiversity and pressing threats, as well as filling in important biodiversity data gaps. 🔍 Armed with NatureMetrics' cutting-edge #eDNA sampling technology, as well as technology to sample microplastics and sound pollution, the expedition will collect 100 samples along its route. The data from these samples will provide a holistic view of the ecosystem’s composition, revolutionising our understanding of the state of nature in the Arctic. 🚢 The 9-person team will embark across the Atlantic to Iceland and Greenland, before navigating the Arctic waters to Alaska by late August/early September.
