Our Be Healthy, Get Active Fitness + Fundraising campaign came to a close last week, and we want to take a moment to thank all of the instructors, studios, and participants that made this series such a success! During the month of October we were able to hold 48 classes with the support of 25 studios and over 250 participants, reaching communities from coast to coast (even Puerto Rico!) and raising over $6,000 in support of B4BC’s education, prevention, and survivorship programs! A heartfelt thank you goes out to our amazing sponsors — LivOn Labs & SUJA Organic, and our product partners YETI, Pura Vida, & Sun Bum — for making each event extra special with giveaways. To everyone who participated, donated, and rallied behind us from coast to coast, thank you! We love our people, and we’re so grateful for the communities and partnerships that make this campaign possible each year. Thank you to our participating studios and instructors Grace & Stop Drop & Dance Official, Lake Tahoe Yoga, Coach Christine B & Tahoe Flow Arts & Fitness, Aubrey Lawrence, Urban Sanctuary, Alpenflow Yoga, Yoniswell CREATIVE, Pivot Barre Studio, Heartbeat House & Lindsey Dantes, Ypga Room Tahoe, Sheena Brown of Witchy Yoga Girl, Pranify Seattle, Jessie Lu Yoga, Mountain Lotus Yoga & Kelle Rich, Elevate Training, Mecha Fitness, Uphill Dogs Yoga & Passlife Workspace, Yoga on Yamhill, Source Field Sound, Thrive Health, Genna Sandler, Elevate Healing Events, Katie Hutsel, Cait Lawson, Crossfit Rincon, Pilates Movement, Yoga Riot PDX, The Rest Workshop, Bex Urban, & Sol19 Yoga. ❤️ #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #BeHealthyGetActive #GetActive #activelifestyle #healthyliving #breastcancerprevention #breastcancereducation #b4bc

How much do you donate to the gym each year? Here are some stats. - 53% of people fall off their New Year’s Resolution by month 3 - 75% of people by month 5 Meaning 75% of people donate 7 months' worth of their annual gym membership. Mindblowing 🤯 If you’d like to stop donating to gyms, here are 5 things you can do: 1. Gym with a friend. Alternatively, attend group classes. Accountability works wonders 2. Schedule it in your work calendar. Treat it like a work commitment 3. Create a gym playlist. Only listen to this while you’re at the gym 4. Create internal or external rewards to boost motivation/create anticipation 5. Create a workout routine. Similar to your to-do list, you’ll know exactly what to do Remember, there is no end destination to health. The goal is not to ‘win’ at health but to stay healthy. Staying healthy comes with sticking to healthy habits, over a long period. Any other consistency/motivation hacks you’ve seen or used? Comment below 👇 Image reference: https://lnkd.in/gDqd6KHd

Where Can Glitzcamp Sports Tents Be Used? 1. Yoga Classes and Retreats When hosting a yoga retreat at a resort or nature reserve, a sports tent can serve as a makeshift classroom or private meditation space. It provides a shaded, wind-proof practice area where participants can relax and unwind in a natural environment. 2. Rehabilitation and Recovery For physical or psychological treatments that require the assistance of an outdoor environment, a sports tent can serve as a gentle, private treatment space. It helps improve mood, boost immunity, and speed up the body’s recovery process. 3. Charity Games When hosting a fundraising or charity event, a sports tent can serve as a registration area or performance stage to support the smooth progress of the entire event. #sportstent Content: https://lnkd.in/gnZvHmzU E-mail: admin@shelter-structures.com

💡 What are the subtleties between being a nonprofit and a company? Both models have their advantages. Nonprofits excel at raising money for specific causes and community initiatives, but they also face constraints in flexibility and growth. At Warrior Flow School, we chose to be a company because it allows us the freedom to innovate, expand our outreach, and continually invest in our programs and faculty. This structure empowers us to create a sustainable impact, grow our community, and keep offering transformative experiences in yoga, mindfulness, and trauma-informed practices 🌿💛. Joe Creasey takes on the London Marathon 2025 is a done deal.. So before we get into the post I'm going to drop the link you are waiting for: https://lnkd.in/eggiH6WG So where do we start? The beginning makes sense right? Last year I was asked to be a part of the Gaming Board at Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity or GOSH as some of you may know them, and since then I have worked with the amazing people over there and an amazing group of friends to help raise money and support the children and families that are associated with GOSH. In a call one day the opportunity to run the marathon was spoken about and how I could potentially help the lives of other families and children just by running (a long way i must add…), and if you know me, you will know I have a little girl of my own, that I could speak about all day long and while speaking about her my face will always have the biggest grin across it. Yes, I'm one of the dads that never shuts up about their kid, but I wouldn't have it any other way :D I just exposed my weakness, I will do anything to support kids and their families, as I know first-hand what it’s like to have a child in your family who is ill and what type of damage this can do to everyone involved. No one should ever have to deal with the darkness that can come with having a sick child and let alone go through it with no one by their side, which is why I'm so passionate about the amazing work GOSH does. Fast forward a few weeks/months I now have a place in the London 2025 Marathon 😶 scary but also exciting. So what’s the plan? Over the next 8 months I will be creating content across my social media platforms and sharing my progress (I will try and be as consistent as possible). What can you expect? My training but also my story as to why I'm taking on this mammoth challenge. I will also share the time I aim to beat, so keep any eye out. During this time, I will set benchmarks of donation goals but I will also need your help with this... for every £500 raised we will add a forfeit, this could be anything from dyeing my hair, shaving my hair, or even a choice of outfits for me to run in. So, if you want to see all of this good stuff, share this page and get donating :D but also give me some forfeits. I think for now this is all the information needed, Oh wait I forgot to link my social platforms: - Tiktok: https://lnkd.in/epEVfw7v - Strava: https://lnkd.in/eri_2rcQ - Instagram: https://lnkd.in/e2Ubrb_s Last but not least If you have any advice for anyone running the marathon and training leading up to this crazy event, please let me know, I'm all ears as I need all the help I can get, to achieve the time I want to :D #running #marathon #londonmarathon #GOSH

Is it really a whole week since I set off to London to get ready for my first London Marathon? "How was it?" I've had a few people ask.. It's hard to put into words, but I'll have a go at a few that come to mind: 👟Epic 👟Euphoric 👟Tough 👟Emotional 👟Rewarding The hardest part was the months of training, the build up, the stress of working out how to get to London when there's train strikes. And then there's the packing - I've never packed so much for a weekend away (energy gels, hydration, snacks to name a few items that took up a fair bit of space). It's true what experienced runners told me - the marathon itself is your lap of honour. I can vouch for this - London felt like one big party and whilst I wished the pain towards the end away, the brilliant memories will last a lifetime. The crowd support was spectacular and uplifting. The rewarding bit comes down to smashing my charity target for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. All of the well wishes and donations flooding in as the big day arrived was a great motivator I'm so grateful for every one of them. And so to the next challenge - the Giacom mission to conquer the Keswick 3 Peaks. Can't wait! Just in case you didn't get a moment to sponsor me and would like to, here is my charity link. The Make-A-Wish Foundation make magical dreams come true for kids who are suffering. Such a great cause. https://lnkd.in/ejsSUTYB #londonmarathon #personalchallenge #running #makeawishfoundation #giacom #charitychallenge #greatplacetowork

🌿 Support Inclusive Escapes: A Mindfulness Forest School Retreat for Single Parents and Their Children 🌿 At Inclusive Escapes, we believe that the healing and transformative power of mindfulness retreats should be accessible to everyone, not just those who can afford it. That’s why we—Mark Sidney, Rachel Jones-Wild, and Autumn Aldous—have teamed up to create something truly special. Through our partner organizations—Mindful Impact, Mindful Therapies, and HowUK—we have a shared vision: to break down the barriers that prevent people from accessing the profound benefits of mindfulness. We recognize that many face challenges like caring responsibilities, mental health difficulties, trauma, and financial constraints that make it difficult to attend traditional retreats. ✨ Our Mission: To offer a unique mindfulness forest school day retreat specifically designed for 20 single parents and their children. This retreat will provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where participants can connect with themselves, nature, and each other. But we need your help to make this happen! The funds we raise will cover the costs of this retreat, ensuring that financial limitations don’t stand in the way of anyone experiencing the rejuvenating effects of mindfulness and nature. 🙏 How You Can Help: Please consider donating to our crowdfunder to help us create an inclusive space where everyone can benefit from the power of mindfulness. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. Donate Now ➡️ https://lnkd.in/ehw2vnsU Thank you for supporting our mission to make mindfulness accessible to all.
