KISS... Keep It Simple Silly. It applied with I was the General Manager of a steakhouse, and it applies to selling solutions. If you want your team to be successful, stay focused on the goal and keep it simple. #coffeewithkristal #bettertogether #sellingsolutions #salesleadership

Life as a former Walmart, present Sam's Club associate Hey ppl. I'm a former Walmart associate who became a Sam's Club associate 3 months ago and I'm here to help you guys gain a perspective of what it's like to be a Sam's Club associate by publishing this post. I've seen some of the Walmart associates are interested in Sam's Club jobs so I decided, why not help the associates who are curious to know what's going on at this place? So let's start with this, working at Sam's Club is not much different or better than working at Walmart. Let me repeat that again for the people in the back: Sam's Club jobs are extremely similar to Walmart jobs. This might sound pretty obvious to so many of you people but I've seen a lot of people who worked for both, and they exaggerate Sam's Club so much, that it got to a point where it started to bother me. They are just selling untrue dreams to people and giving them hope for no reason. It's not like we are chilling in this place for the half of the shift and we are helping extremely kind, caring, and understanding members for the other half. No. People are rude and stupid here too and you will face very very similar challenges that you face at Walmart. I can't lie, I thought dealing with people, and when I say people I mean the customers aka members, would be a lot easier. I thought that because people actually pay to get in here. So the membership should decrease the number of people that you deal with, and since you deal with fewer and fewer people, you would get better and calmer conversations with customers aka members. But unfortunately, that was not the case for me. The arrogance of these people is hilarious. I'm gonna be honest, I thought the customers at Walmart were arrogant just because they bought the most buyable items, but I realized they were nothing compared to Sam's Club members. I swear these people make you feel like you are working at a 5 star hotel. Cause they expect the same service level of a 5 star hotel. Just because you pay 50-100$ per year, you don't get to be a billionaire you idiot. Anyway, let's stay on track. I also thought I would be in a more well organized working environment in terms of not mixing the duties of one associate with another. For example, I never wanted to do anything that wasn't in my job description but that wasn't the case. And I realized I was naive to think that it was gonna be different. So if there is any of you who are thinking that the problem is actually your Store Manager or your Team Lead, they are not. It's the same at other stores and other companies as well. I witnessed it personally. #walmart #walmartchat #walmartemployees #thebluetalk #SamsClubJobs #SamsCareers #SamsClub #SamClubReality #SimilarNotDifferent #CustomerArrogance #WorkingChallenges #UntrueExpectations #OrganizedWorkplace #ServiceLevelIssues #RetailInsights #NaiveExpectations #AssociatePerspective

I can't tell you how pleased I was to see this post, after 6 months in the making, working with Sam, Oli and the fabulous team at Attic Brew Co. Thanks for the feedback guys, loving being part of the journey, and so excited to see how your growth plans come to fruition. I know you will be ace! Having reflected on this over the last few days, for me, put simply all this hard work comes down to a few key things: Empowering and engaging your team, creating an amazing culture and encourages everyone to go that extra mile (deeply commercial!) Also advising on the appropriate team structure for the future to enable growth. Giving Business Owners & Founders the opportunity and time to focus 'on' the business (always hard when the day job is seemingly relentless!) Supporting them to do this is critical and varies individually but I love being able to 'dip in' to different areas with teams where they need more support, people, commercial, operational in particular. Bringing structure and clarity to how the business operates, and making it more efficient (boring I know, but I cant emphasise how important this is to grow sustainably!) Creates a strong and exciting strategic plan 😀 If anyone would like to know more, feel free to get in touch ⛅ Happy Monday, Em x #clearingclouds #smallbusinesssupport #businessgrowth #partnership
Yesterday we brought the whole team over to our taproom to share the details of our new strategy and to celebrate the amazing growth we've had over the past year. Together, we've seen sales volumes increase 42%, increased the number of transactions through our bars by 10% and amazingly dropped our water usage to half of the industry average. Moving forward, our goal is to become the best loved brewery in the West Midlands by placing a strong focus on local communities, giving our people the tools to manage themselves, reducing our impact on the planet and still keeping everything fun. We'll continue to work on all these things to make sure we're able to achieve our ultimate goal. That's what we mean when we say we brew forward thinking beer. Huge thanks to Emma Roderick from Clearing Clouds for her help in developing this strategy. We couldn't have done it without you!

Thank you for sharing this post! Having Senior management on the shop floor at Christmas is huge! The impact you will have on colleagues is hugely motivating plus it breaks down barriers of them and us as you work equally with fellow colleagues at the coal face of the business! Engagement with colleagues and customers can be very rewarding. It also gives you an opportunity to see right in front of you the pinch points in a business, what is working and what could work better. It is a great gesture for Senior management of Sainsbury's to do this at Christmas for a day or two. Just think how much you could all gain if you did this at other times of the year. Like 1 to 2 weeks as under cover bosses working during the day and night. I know you would learn lots and this could help to steal a march on the competition and discover improvements and opportunities to make more effective changes to benefit staff and customers and by doing so improve growth and profit by driving change as leaders of the business. Just an idea.
Back in my happy place today. Everyone at Sainsbury’s regardless of role or grade is on the shop floor at Christmas helping our incredible stores managers and their teams. For those who celebrate it have a great Christmas everyone 🎄🎅🏻😁❤️

A bottle of water at Costco costs 25 cents. The same bottle in a supermarket costs about 50 cents. The same bottle in a bar costs $2. In a good restaurant or hotel, it can be worth up to $3. At the airport or on a plane, you might be charged $5. The bottle and the brand are the same; the only thing that changes is the place. Each place gives a different value to the same product. When you feel like you are worth nothing and people around you underestimate you, change your place, don't stay there. Have the courage to change your place and go where you are valued for who you are. Surround yourself with people who truly appreciate your value. Do not settle for less. Source: Dalat Tomorrow

Adding another slice to our pack of Case Analysis Series. It is a matter of no surprise that it’s the good will associated with a trade name, that one creates with time and which magically turns a combination of generic words into an arbitrary mark. A very recent example of this is ‘Burger King’, an American fast-food giant, taking down every other food outlet which trying to confuse us. In 2023, the Delhi High Court ruled in BURGER KING CORPORATION VS RANJAN GUPTA & ORS , 2018, Burger King Corporation had demonstrated bona fide use of the trademark "Burger King" during the relevant period between August 2009 and August 2014.It was also observed that Burger King Corporation had undertaken preparatory work for establishing its brand in India, leading to the opening of the first Burger King restaurant in India in November 2014.The court granted an injunction in favor of Burger King Corporation , restraining the defendants from using the trademark "Burger King" or any deceptively similar mark .The court dismissed the defendants' plea regarding the invalidity of Burger King Corporation's trademark. Get ready for a whirlwind adventure - Walmart Associates / Shareholder Week in NWA! A time when success and struggle stories from the retail front lines echo through every corridor. It's not just a grand gala for Walmart associates, but a chance for local professionals and the community to reflect on the driving force that fuels our locality. Walmart isn't just a company; it's the heartbeat of our community. With NWA recently weathering tornadoes and severe storms, and the influx of visitors this week, expect a hustle and bustle at every turn. But in the midst of the chaos, let's take a moment to appreciate the resilience. Let's acknowledge the power of Walmart, a company that stands tall in our part of the world. As you navigate through the busy streets this week, I challenge you to not just rush by, but to pause, observe, and appreciate the remarkable influence of Walmart in our lives. Walmart Associates / Shareholder Week – it's more than just a corporate event, it's a testament to our community's tenacity and spirit.
