As part of OICCI (Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry) campaign for March on 'Women Empowerment', we spoke to senior journalist Zebunnisa Burki about the numerous challenges women face in developing countries like Pakistan regarding empowerment and how these challenges can be addressed. Ms. Burki succinctly addresses the issue by highlighting the concept of the feminization of poverty – "the increasing inequality in living standards between men and women due to the widening gender gap in poverty." This understanding can serve as a crucial step towards empowering women. #InspireInclusion #WomenEmpowerment #FeminizationofPoverty

✅ Savannah H. Rotterdam: our Youth Engagement Officer, represented ConnectFutures at the Communication and Narratives Radicalisation Awareness Network - RAN meeting. She presented a #casestudy highlighting the real-world impact of borderline content that our brilliant facilitators deal with when engaging with young people. ✅ She highlighted the differences from exposure to borderline content to the fall down the digital rabbit hole to #extremism. ✅ Savannah states "What we are finding is that there is a lot of online content that is awful…but lawful. It doesn’t quite cross the line of promoting #extremism but it’s on the border- hence the term ‘borderline content’. This term isn’t exclusive to such #memes, it could also apply to hate speech, conspiratorial content, #AI-generated #deepfakes and more depending on the country.🧑⚖️" 🔗 Click here to learn more about ConnectFutures: https://bit.ly/4b2sOAf Radicalisation Awareness Network - RAN Jacek Purski Vasileios FOUKAS Michael Cruz Niv Zonis Luca Guglielminetti Christina Foerch Dr. Yaser Esmailzadeh Jonathan Russell Michael Cruz Andrew Wallis OBE Rik Scheele Boy Broeders Gordon Clubb Isabella Vogel Allysa Czerwinsky
