ISOMETRIC SECTIONS! Sections can be a valuable tool for architects to demonstrate spatial relationships, scale and different elements. Adding 3-dimensional feeling into them further enhances and expands the relationship with its context. Here, for an Architectural University project, I particularly highlighted the atrium section where all the activity happens with many studios congregating and linked with flying bridges. The space is used for crits, discussions, and a melting point for social occasions. Have you ever used them? Would love to hear from you 🙂 Programs Used: Revit + Photoshop

🔍 Linking ArchiCAD Models with NBS Chorus: Seeking Advice! 🔍 As architects, we understand how critical it is to maintain accuracy and coordination between our designs and specifications. Having recently prepared a detailed project specification using NBS Chorus, I’m now exploring ways to manually link the specification codes to elements in my ArchiCAD model. My aim is to ensure that each design element in the model is tied to its corresponding specification in a clear and organized way. While I’ve discovered a few possible approaches, I’d love to hear from others: - Have you developed a manual workflow for linking NBS Chorus or exported PDF specifications to ArchiCAD? - Are there efficient methods or plugins you’d recommend for this integration? Any tips, insights, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I navigate this process. Let’s collaborate and share ideas to refine our workflows! P.S.: The image is unrelated to the topic. It’s a highlight of an architectural gem I came across during my recent travels in Morogoro, at the newly built SGR trainstation #Architecture #ArchiCAD #NBSChorus #DesignWorkflow #ArchitecturalDocumentation

Landscape Architects, this is a common idiom or expression you might hear in one of your meetings: "think outside the box" It means to think imaginatively using new ideas instead of traditional or expected ideas. It can be a particularly appropriate phrase for Landscape Architects and Garden Designers to mention when brainstorming ideas as a team and to encourage creativity and unique solutions in their designs. To help you, below is an example of using this idiom in context. A: “The problem we’ve got is that the client wants to make the rain garden functional and visually appealing.” B: " Yeah, it’s going to be tough to achieve everything. We might have to think outside the box a bit to make it work.” A: “What if we create an adjacent seating area and build an attractive pathway to link up the areas using the same stone? Would that work?” B: ”Yes, I think it might.” How does “think outside the box” differ from another very similar idiom “blue-sky thinking”? 💡To “think outside the box” is to focus on finding a practical, creative solution to a specific issue or challenge. 💡“Blue-sky thinking”, by contrast, refers to open, imaginative, and unrestricted brainstorming, where there are no limitations or constraints. The focus is more on exploring wild, limitless ideas rather than solving a specific problem. Please don't underestimate the power and value of artistic approach in creating "Architectural Design". Sometimes softwares has limitations here and there, so creative thinking has to come first. I started to use SketchUp a couple of years ago, then i discovered Blender. Recently I'm expanding my knowledge in Archicad and Revit. https://lnkd.in/d5A7V7_s #blender #sketchup #artstation #architecturaldesign #parametricdesign #bimmodeling #3dmodel #interiordesign #conceptdesign
