As contemporary world becomes more digitalised, with pockets of previously carbon cycled industrial cities, now reconnecting to nature for carbon offsets by stealthily abandoning fossil energies. Multiuse residential dwellings are on the rise with neuroarchitecture consciously leaning towards biophilic designs. As smart buildings and cities designs continue to evoke a re-connection with nature via biophilic architecture, terracotta [baked earth] is a material that inspires the human connection with nature and adds an earthly quality to a resilient and sustainable urban design. The versatility of terracotta, and its ability to be coloured with different glazes will enable designers to blend natural materials with a postmodernist's aesthetic, by combining its earthly textures with bold vibrant hues. #terracottarods #biophilicdesigns #neuroarchitecture #greenbuildings #passivehouse #BruckpassivehouseHotel #natureintegration #humanconnection #postmodernism #smartbuildings #GreenCities #SustainableArchitecture #passivedesigns #energyefficientbuildings #BuiltEnvironment #FutureEnvironment #AUTSchoolOfFutureEnvironments

A place in Menorca called Bosc inspired this collection, thus the name. The GANDIA BLASCO GROUP collection captures the essence of the Mediterranean perfectly. Structural weaving techniques using plant fibers like wicker are integral to its culture. It aimed to honor a tradition through a contemporary interpretation. This abstraction translates the weaving into aluminum, subtly yet distinctly integrating it into this product. #NextSpace #outdoorfurniture #outdoorliving #luxuryfurniture #luxuryliving #outdoorlifestyle #comfortandstyle #hospitalitydesign #design #art #architecture #outdoordesign #commercialdesign #furnituresolutions #furnitureinnovation #outdoorrecreation

"𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯, 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥." "𝘈𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢." The 1930s were the era of "𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗼." What is it? If you've seen “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘎𝘢𝘵𝘴𝘣𝘺” movie, you'll recognise the style. • Art Deco is known for bold geometric lines. • Gold and luxurious materials were commonly used. Architects of that time embraced this design idea. But not 𝗟𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗿. • He believed homes should prioritise function. • Less decoration. His 1931 project, Villa Savoye, proves his point. It was revolutionary. Villa Savoye is still an icon today. Le Corbusier didn’t follow the trends. He followed his vision. Let’s explore how his ideas have shaped modern architecture. Can you believe this used to be a 107-year-old bottling facility? We love breathing new life into old buildings, and our Warrant Building project is a great example. The building's industrial soul was kept alive with exposed brick walls and concrete pillars - because why hide that century-old character? But we've given it a modern twist. The sleek glass partitions and doors bring in ample light, while the blue-gray carpet adds a touch of contemporary cool. The mid-century modern furniture adds a perfect blend of old and new. The pendant light is a nod to the facility's past, reimagined for the future. The result - a space where history and innovation mix as smoothly as a refreshing drink. @glyonphotography Christopher Manske, CFP® Manske Wealth Management A2studio Architecture + Design Pamela O'Brien #architecture #interiordesign #credevelopment #commercialarchitecture #womeninarchitecture #womenininteriordesign #wbenc #womanownedbusiness #workplacedesign #a2studio
