Meet your next COO or Cheif of staff - Rich Evans I'll never forget the first day Rich walked into our MaxSold office almost three years ago. He wasn't just embracing the MaxSold experience; he was living it. This boomerang isn't just a piece of buyer purchase; it symbolizes Rich's full-circle approach to leadership and accountability. 🪃 ————— We worked closely on several projects: partner initiatives, customer onboarding, and R&D projects (as customer success and operations.) Rich set up strong processes, focus on our core values, and completed missions like a SEAL. He always never hesitated to join customer calls with me to understand their needs better. I used to joke that he needs to start taking commissions from “Extreme Ownership,” because he was giving away the books 🍬, and introducing the concept into our workplace. Finally, I am excited to announce that I embarked today on a new chapter in my career! After 10 years in the public cloud vendors space, I've crossed over to the other side of digital transformation! Today was my very first day at Polpharma as Digital Lead for Industrial Operations in the Manufacturing Excellence division! Why? Because after years of focusing on the commercial side of digital transformation in industry, I'm eager to broaden my skill set and take on a more strategic role. This new challenge will push me out of my comfort zone but also presents the most significant opportunities for growth in Digitalization and Change Management within complex enterprise structures. Because every move, every look, every decision we make, or don't make, is a change. We live in an environment of constant change, and it is a change that we fear the most. Because some changes are small, usual, expected, and we know their outcomes. Others are unexpected, uncertain, and we try to avoid them. But what if they're inevitable? Then it's best to manage them. In every aspect. I'm joining a Team tasked with managing one of the biggest changes in the Polpharma, as digital technology boldly enters the world of industrial operations. I spent a significant amount of time considering how I could contribute to a well-organized delivery team that doesn't have the typical sales-driven focus. I have a reputation for being hard-working, and perhaps I am, if thinking, striving for knowledge, exchange of views, teamwork, and ultimately achieving a goal are equivalent to work, because that's what I do most often. But if work is interpreted as a rigidly defined action at a specific time according to a rigid rule, then I'm more of a slacker. This is not transformation change for me, but just another project. Well, I'm not hiding it, I'm curious whether I won't disappoint my new colleagues with this approach, but no doubt that an interesting adventure awaits us soon! I’ve always been drawn to companies with a “land and expand” business model, and after a great conversation this morning, I realized why: team culture. This model isn’t just about driving growth—it’s about fostering deep, ongoing customer partnerships. When your focus is on consistently delivering value, clients start to feel less like customers and more like teammates. It makes the work more meaningful and collaborative. It aligns the entire team around a common goal: following through on promises. There’s no “toss it over the wall” approach or quick transactional sales with no follow-up. Success depends on integrity, accountability, and a commitment to quality—and that creates a team and a culture I’m proud to be part of. What draws you to the work you do?
