I've been off LinkedIn for a while due to project commitments, and honestly, because I was getting a bit frustrated with some of the content I was seeing. But now, I'm back with some insights I'd like to share. Every product has a place when used in the right application. The key factors are the cost of the products and equipment, the duration of the project, what it is displaying, and the client's objectives. We must consider capital costs versus production costs in terms of generating a kWh, as well as operational, servicing, engineering, and design costs. These are all critical when determining the price per kilowatt-hour on-site. If you can produce energy on your site via renewable sources, that's fantastic. However, it's crucial to evaluate the cost and at what scale it becomes positive for you. There's a lot of new tech coming to the market. The products or solutions that will stand out and have longevity are those that offer better insights, cleaner emissions, more efficient output, improved operational performance and efficiency, and are commercially attractive over the base product or solution they are replacing. It's essential to understand the application and area you are trying to address before choosing products and solutions to achieve your business or target goals. DOE Announces $15 Million in Funding for Clean Transportation Deployment and Demonstration The Department of Energy (DOE) announced $15 million in new funding for projects that will advance deployment of technologies critical to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector. The funding will drive innovation in equitable clean transportation and is aligned with strategies detailed in the U.S. National Blueprint for Transportation Decarbonization. The funding is administered through the Vehicle Technologies Office (VTO) within DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). Topic areas in VTO’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Technology Integration funding opportunity include: Clean Cities Outreach, Engagement, and Technical Assistance Training on Zero Emission Vehicle and Infrastructure Technologies for Critical Emergency Response Workers Clean Transportation Demonstration and Deployment. As part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to ensuring the benefits of a clean transportation system are shared equally, the funding seeks the participation of underserved communities and underrepresented groups. Applicants are required to describe how diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives will be incorporated into their project, and are highly encouraged to include individuals from groups historically underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) on their project teams. Objectives: (i) Efficiently implement Decision No. 893/QD-TTg dated July 26, 2023 of the Prime Minister approving the National Energy Master Plan for the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. (ii) Identify specific projects, determine implementation progress of programs and projects in each phase from now to 2030; determine methods, resources, and coordination mechanisms among ministries, sectors, and People's Committees of provinces and municipalities for effective implementation. (v) Keep pace with global scientific and technological trends, particularly in renewable, new energy and non-energy products, aligning with national transition to a green, circular and low-carbon economy.
