Alongside Siemens Mobility and Network Rail, BORG5 are pleased to have played a part in the Rail Telecom Network Design and Build needed to deliver a more reliable, safe, and efficient railway system in Devon and Cornwall. The recent commissioning of 54 networking equipment and almost 140 services brought the latest networking technology to the region to promise enhanced reliability and sets the stage for future railway development. ✔ Our BORG5 Team successfully implemented innovative solutions, including the deployment of GPS Antenna connected to Cisco NCS 540, a first-of-its-kind initiative that required meticulous configuration and collaboration with our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). ✔ Additionally, we navigated the implementation of the PTO temporary solution, seamlessly integrating existing services onto new links to ensure timely delivery. The project was extensive, requiring installation of FTNx equipment across numerous sites; fortunately, effective communication ensured any issue resolution. We extend our congratulations to all involved. This project exemplifies the power of collaboration and reinforces our commitment to delivering excellence 🎉 #Collaboration #UKRailways #RailTelecom #TelecomsNetwork #Telecom #BORG5
We’re proud to be part of delivering a more reliable, safe and efficient railway in Devon and Cornwall. The successful commissionings over the course of March mean that the region now has new technology that will improve reliability and unlock future development of the railway in the area. Our teams at Siemens Mobility have worked together with Network Rail during a planned 20-day period of back-to-back commissioning works where the teams battled through many challenges including the weather to achieve an on-time and incident free hand back. This was a large project, equivalent to 174 Signalling Equivalent Units (SEUs) spread over 65 miles of railway and was the largest single deployment of Trackguard Westrace Modular signalling in the UK. Over the course of the project we re-signalled the areas from Lostwithiel to Truro in Cornwall and from Totnes to Plymouth in Devon. This project will reduce train delays for passengers, enable much safer and efficient maintenance, and improve operational capacity. Congratulations to all the team, this was a fine example of collaboration. #Collaboration #CollaborationInAction #UKRailways #siemensmobility
