"You are a bit overconfident!" "Aise rahoge toh kuch nahi hoga tumhara" 😔 My school teacher said this to me after my Class 12 Pre-board exams! Here is the back story: After the Pre-board exams, the teacher showed us the answer scripts after some weeks but unfortunately, I was absent that day. The next day, I went to ask for my answer sheet and she told me that I had to find my sheet in a bundle of around 200 sheets. I was like okay, I will do it! Then she told me that I had a perfect score in Economics (80/80) and there were no errors so I could avoid checking the script. I saved my effort and came back to my class! 🚀 The next day she complained to another teacher about me being overconfident enough to avoid checking my sheet! I confronted her and she said, "Don't be overconfident, and aise rahoge toh kuch nahi hoga tumhara"! I humbly said that it's not an attitude problem but if you feel like it, be it and I left! Fast forward to Today: With that Attitude, I scored 98% in Class 12 Boards, doing my Graduation in Economics with a decent grade from a top North Campus College, managed leadership roles, grabbed good internships, made lifelong friends, and a lot more! 👏 Never let anyone undermine your confidence and always maintain your attitude as it will shine throughout your life. Don't be overconfident but always know your worth! 🌟 Sometimes people will make you feel this but it's you who has to decide whether you will bind yourself to the limits of their thinking or not! Comment how your attitude helped you in life and let others learn from it :) PS: Here I am standing in SRCC for another great experience which I will unveil soon, just stick around :) #college #experience #attitude #mentality #economics #confidence #exams #collegelife #exams #selfworth #LinkedIn #LinkedInforcreators #growth

How can your junior stand out from the crowd? When a student has a clearer picture of what career field(s) they are interested in, they can explore those interests through coursework, camps, extracurriculars, experiences, etc. This fall is an ideal time for rising juniors (Class of 2026) to get started.

My first year as an undergraduate wasn't an easy one. Virtually everyone have this similar experience but in my case, I graduated from secondary school without any additional skills. I tried putting in for a skill immediately after graduation but it turned to be a futile endeavor. Resuming the university as a fresh student was a different reality for me and it's a mountains I had to climb with great determination. I can't go on this way what can I do? Sometimes your breakthrough lies in just asking yourself a single question? I spotted the problem, and I decided not to remain in that situation. You need to make deliberate and conscious effort towards your growth, I began to read wide, put in for courses and gain as much experience that I can. I have a goal. The future you pucture in your mind cannot be attained by being a mediocre. Firstly, the big picture, then you see yourself there and beyond seeing yourself there, you start looking like that future and you take your growth towards becoming that future deliberate and consciously work towards it. Every great man is a product of addition, you can't keep complaining in your mediocrity and expect a result you never worked to attain. Add value to yourself. Bouncing Back After Rejection It's a new month, and for many of us, that means a fresh start and new opportunities to pursue our goals. I did receive my fair share of rejection when I applied for postgraduate scholarships in 2021/2022; it can feel disheartening. Trust me, I know that sting of rejection all too well. However, I've learned that rejection is simply a redirection. It's an opportunity to re-evaluate our approach, gather feedback, and come back stronger for the next attempt. Every "no" gets us one step closer to that ultimate "yes" we're striving for. As we enter the month of May, I encourage you to reflect on where you can improve for future applications. Was your personal statement compelling enough? Did you effectively showcase your unique strengths and fit for the program? Is there additional experience or skillsets you can develop to become an even stronger candidate? Don't view rejection as a failure, but as information that can help guide you. Reach out to the committees for feedback, seek mentorship, and have candid conversations with those who've been successful in earning these scholarships before. Most importantly, don't lose hope. Strengthen your resolve, improve your application materials, and get ready to apply again with even more determination. The path to our goals is rarely linear, but each barrier we overcome makes us stronger and more prepared for ultimate success. Let's make this month about rising up, dusting ourselves off, and continuing our pursuit of knowledge and achievement. Who's with me? #PostgradScholarships #ResilienceAndGrit #NeverGiveUp #StudentLife

In a world where competition is fierce and opportunities are abundant, the question arises: What truly matters more - skill, degree, or a combination of both? 🎓🛠️ As illustrated: Imagine three rabbits, each standing beside a carrot representing different scenarios: one with healthy roots but scant leaves, another with lush foliage but weak roots, and the third boasting both healthy roots and abundant leaves. These rabbits mirror the challenges and advantages individuals face in today's job market. 🥕 The first rabbit symbolizes those with exceptional skills but lacking formal education. They may possess remarkable talents, yet without a degree to validate their expertise, they often struggle to gain recognition or secure stable employment. 🥕 The second rabbit represents individuals armed with degrees but lacking practical skills. While their academic achievements open doors, the absence of hands-on experience can leave them ill-prepared for real-world challenges, hindering their professional growth. 🥕 Now, consider the third rabbit - the one with both healthy roots and leaves. This rabbit embodies the ideal scenario: individuals equipped with both skill and degree. They possess the knowledge and theoretical understanding gained from academia, complemented by the practical expertise acquired through hands-on experience. 🐰 In today's rapidly evolving job landscape, having a degree alone is no longer sufficient. Similarly, relying solely on skill may limit one's potential. The key lies in finding the delicate balance between the two - leveraging education to refine skills and utilizing skills to enrich education. 🌉 Employers seek candidates who can seamlessly bridge the gap between theory and practice, individuals who not only possess the know-how but can also apply it effectively in real-world scenarios. It's this blend of academic rigour and practical proficiency that sets individuals apart in the competitive job market. 𝗦𝗼, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆? In the pursuit of success, strive for mastery in both skill and education. Cultivate your talents, hone your expertise, and pursue lifelong learning opportunities. Embrace the power of continuous growth and evolution. Remember, in today's age, having both skill and degree isn't just advantageous - it's essential. It's the recipe for success, the roadmap to unlocking your full potential in all aspects of life. Here's to embracing the power of skill, degree, and their perfect blend as we navigate the complexities of the modern world. 🚀 #SkillVsDegree #CareerSuccess #LifelongLearning

Trading textbooks for real-world challenges is the ultimate test of resilience! As a recent graduate eagerly awaiting my convocation ceremony, I find myself in an exciting yet daunting waiting period. I look forward to getting a job and finally "starting life" but there's a problem. You see, I have been out of the job market for five years and frankly speaking, things have changed. This is why I’m committed to continuous learning, diving into courses to equip myself with the latest skills and tools that today’s job market demands. College Helped Me Overcome One Thing ⬇ Before college, I dreaded speaking in front of a crowd. But, College provided the perfect environment for me to develop this crucial skill. While college might not always offer hands-on practical exposure, it’s an incredible place to build and refine your soft skills. With every presentation and talk, I found myself growing more confident and comfortable. Here’s how you can make the most of your college experience: 1. Participate in Cultural Fests: They’re a fantastic way to network, make friends, and build lasting connections. 2. Give Your Best in Assignments and Projects: Stand out by putting all your effort into your work. 3. Take Initiative: Whether it’s group activities or any other tasks, being proactive helps you grow. 4. Seek Guidance from Mentors: Their advice can be invaluable in shaping your skills and career. Don’t let those years pass by without gaining something meaningful. Have fun, but always focus on building those soft skills that will set you apart in the future. #skillbuilding #learnnewthing #outofcomfortzone
