Minister Timpson's business model is successful. Timpson's track record with staffing is impressive. I will be watching with interest the reforms he suggest and carries through for the Prison and Probation Service. I am an advocate for Restorative Justice, in Essex we have a well structed system to ensure offenders are held accountable for the actions and to truly understand the impact of their actions. Prison should be, where possible a mix of sanction/loss of personal liberties and rehabilitation. #restorativejustice

I have a huge amount of respect for James Timpson and what he has achieved in his business. It just goes to show the old thinking that you have to be tough and ruthlessness to succeed is very outdated - caring for people and providing an environment for them to be happy in their jobs will nurture far more performance, loyalty and satisfaction.
