Boston University Impact Measurement & Allocation Program (IMAP)’s Post

This summer, IMAP is funding two of the Boston University Institute for Global Sustainability summer fellows – and they’re off to a great start! Adham Badawy will be looking at how to use treated wastewater for irrigation in drought-stricken areas, using the novel concept of a “wastewatershed.” This information will help IMAP's investor audience better mitigate against climate-induced water security risks within their portfolios. Brian Sousa will enhance IMAP’s Corporate Carbon Risk project with his research to integrate health impacts and water consumption alongside the cost and emission-reduction potential of utility-scale renewable energy projects. https://lnkd.in/eB_4rk_9 #ClimateChange #Emissions #wastewater #carbon

Extending a warm IGS welcome to our newest class of Graduate Student Summer Fellows! These Boston University researchers are pursuing projects on energy consumption patterns, population exposure to water scarcity and extreme heat, the sustainability and key characteristics of several emerging technologies, and ecosystem restoration.
