Statistics for the #IF23 net-zero technologies call are in!    Via the #InnovationFund, 3️⃣3️⃣7️⃣ applications from 2️⃣7️⃣ countries are in the running to receive €4️⃣ billion to support their projects under these topics:    🔷 137 large-scale   🔷 56 cleantech manufacturing  🔷 51 medium-scale   🔷 51 Pilots  🔷 42 small-scale    🥇 Also for the first time, projects that are not awarded a grant despite meeting all evaluation criteria can be awarded a Seal of Sovereignty which will facilitate getting funding from other sources. I think the picture makes clear how enjoyable last night's panel at the DNV Winter Seminar was. With thanks to my fellow panelists Ian Butler and Matthew Smith for their insights, and to James Milne for moderating.   With the theme of future-proofing shipping, we delved into critical topics like energy efficiency, decarbonisation, emerging technologies, and the outlook for 2025 against the backdrop of a changing geopolitical and regulatory environment.   Key takeaways: Decarbonization: The need for investable solutions with a clear ROI Digitalization: The increasing importance of data and transparency to comply with regulations like FuelEU and CSRD.
