Whether you're serving on active duty, a veteran, or supporter of our veteran community, you don't want to miss this! The VBC purpose is three-fold: 1) Assist transitioning service members through networking, discussions of important events, introductions to industries across the region, and ensuring service members are personally introduced to leaders in the aforementioned groups. 2) Translate our military service to community service, ensuring we continue our leadership into non-profit, volunteer, and civil service organizations. 3) Continue our sense of camaraderie, thus safeguarding the bonds established during our military service and establishing a safety net of resources for veterans.

Veterans don’t have to face the transition from military service to civilian life alone. Veteran Service Organizations and nonprofits are essential to the mission of overcoming the challenges. 🤝 Learn how these groups, including some of REE Medical’s partners, can help, and why accurate medical evidence is critical for disabled Veterans confronting post-service struggles. There’s a category of #military brats that are especially deserving of the nation’s recognition, gratitude, and serious study: the roughly 2 million Post-9/11 military children who experienced at least one if not multiple parental deployments—most often to theaters of #war—in the 20yr period after 2001. Already by 2011 (the formal end of the Iraq War), more than 4,300 of these children had had a parent killed in the Iraq & Afghanistan wars. As of 2015, that number had reached some 5,000. It’s difficult to know exactly how many American military kids are survivors or orphans of troops who were killed in the line of duty during the #GWOT, or who they are, let alone the total numbers of children survivors of all those who’ve served in the Post-9/11 era: There does not appear to be any type of database or central repository of information from which to find them. Surveying the past 35 years with the Lucas Group, however, the nonprofit Fallen Patriots has estimated that approximately 25,000 children have lost an active duty parent during that time (whether from accident, illness, hostilities, or suicide). The majority of these fatalities were their fathers. We owe a debt to these military children that goes far beyond media pronouncements and themed events once a year in April.

This #GivingTuesday, there are so many ways to help us in our mission. You can: 1 ) Join our monthly donor club, The Gloves On Collective. If we had 1000 members at $25 a month, we would be able to provide 50% of our annual budget for 2025 and serve 500 Veterans and participants through our programs... 2) Volunteer your time at one of our events or join our team. None of these opportunities are possible without help from our community, Veteran and civilian. 3) Spread the word about our foundation. Read through the stories of people who have been positively impacted by attending one of our events. If you know of somebody who could benefit, let them know about us. Take a chance and sign up for an event yourself. 4) Do something kind today to uplift another person. Thank you for your support, click the link in our bio to learn more ways you can help.
