Because Wire Rope Safety Barrier systems consist of ropes in tension, the minimum allowable horizontal curve radius is 200 metres in most jurisdictions. When designing, the effect of the curve on barrier deflection should also be considered.    The minimum allowable sag curve K value is 30. This is Wood International Agency Ltd's #Marksman 44 #door cores being tested at Warringtonfire to BS 476-22. It looks like a very basic #firetest, but in actual fact, this is one of the more difficult arrangements to test successfully. Firstly, the door leaves are only lipped on the long edges, meaning the bottom and top of the door leaves are the exposed #Marksman particleboard core. Additionally, there is no #intumescent protection applied to the hinges and a reduced intumescent protection to the latch. The absence of glazed apertures in this unlatched double door arrangement means that the Marksman door core is being really tested for deflection and distortion. A great result exceeding 42 minutes! The #intumescent #seals used in this instance is Pyroplex, supplied by Norseal Ltd. This specimen also includes the NOR810S mechanical drop seal and the NOR710 perimeter seal, both great options for limiting the passage of smoke and sound.
