𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗗𝗼 𝗪𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗿? 🤔 A lady walks up and asks, "How much for your eggs?"The old vendor replies, "50¢ an egg, madam." She counters, "I'll take 6 eggs for $2.50 or I'm out." The vendor, with a weary smile, says, "Buy them at your price, Madam. I haven't sold a single egg today. I need this to live." She grabs her eggs, feeling like she scored a deal, and drives off in her fancy car 🚗💨. Next stop? A swanky restaurant with a friend. They order up a storm, eat a bit, and leave a mountain of food untouched. The bill? $150.They casually hand over $200 and tell the waiter, "Keep the change." 💸💸 Now, this seems totally normal at the restaurant, but what about the egg seller? Here's the million-dollar question: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗼𝗻’t 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁? 🤔 It reminds me of something I read once. A dad would buy goods from poor folks at high prices, even if he didn't need them. Sometimes, he'd even pay extra. Curious, his son asked, "Why, Dad?"The father replied, "It's charity wrapped in dignity, son." Let's all take a page out of that book.We can do better. We NEED to do better. 🌟 Challenge accepted? 💪 #SupportLocal #CharityWithDignity #BeBetter #ChallengeAccepted

HOW DO YOU CHARGE FOR YOUR VALUE? There is no shame when it comes to charging your worth. Let me talk about myself so that you can understand it well. When I started baking I had no idea how it would cost for my cakes. So I could bake, decorate and take the cake to the customer. And this gave me a lot of pride in my hustle. Since I knew how much cakes were sold in the nearby bakery I also sold my cakes like them. Then I boldly took my finished cake to my customers place. This time I have not factored the ingredients cost, production cost, direct and indirect cost, miscellaneous and delivery fee. One day i delivered a cake to Kasarani via Taxi ( not uba), the cake was worth 4k, and i paid 2500 to and fro, just do the math 🤔. The tax guy was kind enough to tell me that I am gaining nothing out of that business. It dawned on me that day and I took a bold step of enrolling for a costing class. Today I am able to charge for my services with confidence. I challenge you to take professional knowledge in any field you don't understand. P.S. We do business for profit unless you are doing charity work. Do you charge for your services? #value #chargeforyourvalue

When 19-year-old Dairy Queen manager, Joey Prusak was serving a blind customer, he noticed the man drop a $20 bill. The woman behind the blind man grabbed the $20 bill and put it in her purse. Prusak then instructed the woman to return the money. After she said no, the teenager made her leave. “I told her, ‘Ma’am, you can either return the $20 bill or you can leave the store, because I’m not going to serve someone as disrespectful as you.'" The woman left. But then, Prusak returned to the blind man and gave him $20 of his money. Prusak notes, "I was just doing what I thought was right. I did it without even really thinking about it." " In the bustling markets where shadows play, It’s not their kindness that guides our way. The butcher, the baker, the merchant, the seamstress, All driven by motives more profound than mere finesse. It’s not their smiles or their friendly cheer, But the profit they seek that draws us near. For in each transaction, both big and small, Self-interest weaves through, the core of it all. The baker’s warm loaves, the butcher’s fresh cut, Are crafted with care, but their eyes are set on the nut. For it’s not out of charity, but out of gain, That they fill our plates and soothe our pain. The market thrives on this unspoken pact, Where self-interest and service interact. Each slice and each loaf, each coin that is tossed, Reflects the drive of what's gained and what's lost. So when we gather our meals, give thanks not to the friend, But to the self-interest that has helped us to blend. For in every act of trade, though motives may vary, It's self-interest that makes the marketplace merry."
