Just returned from a fantastic week at analytica, where we had the opportunity to showcase our experience in medical device technology. 💡 Here's are some topics that we discussed: 🚀 Motor Control Innovations: Introduced real-time operating system (RTOS) based improvements, enhancing precision and performance. 💻 Software Development: Delved into BSP, drivers, bootloader, Linux kernel, and buildroot recipes, ensuring seamless integration and robust functionality. 🔍 Error Detection & Logging: Implemented a comprehensive black box approach for error detection, logging, and reporting across all levels, ensuring reliability and traceability. 📊 Memory Management: Replaced default memory allocator with 0(const) complexity, optimizing resource utilization and enhancing efficiency. 🎨 Graphics Enhancement: Leveraged NEON to optimize the rendering pipeline, enhancing graphics performance and visual fidelity. 🔄 System Architecture: Discussed process architecture and inter-process communication strategies for seamless operation and data flow. 📱 User Interface: Highlighted the importance of modern C++ in developing a responsive and intuitive user interface application. 🔧 Software Update & Maintenance: Explored dual-partition, rollback mechanisms, and multi-chip support for seamless software updates and maintenance. 🛠 Test Framework Development: Shared insights into white-box testing methodologies and "insider" component development for robust quality assurance. In light of the ending of the 2024 FYEC, I wanted to present my research conducted with Garrett Deller & Evan Turner, & myself, in the 2023 FYEC, on how the Medical Use of Prosthetic Devices has impact on Human Function. Our focus had us tailoring our research to the DEKA Arm, & facilitating an approach towards its understanding & impact on our society, at present, & future. I would like to thank my incredible mentor Cambell France who guided us through much of our research, and played an incredible role in our success.
