I Beilive that some startup companies might fall in the trap of head haunting people from companies from other competitors, I mean you can do that on a limited scale. But to build your whole organization from only one company that’s a real pity . It’s always tricky when building a team , I mean look to PSG , they had all the best players from all over the world and could not succeed , because you build a cult by developing startups you don’t copy paste a cult by bringing other people from one company . Winning and being the best stems from the fact of always trying . Meaning you build a team establish a platform of innovation and building the future , and take all those young and mid aged guys to the next steps . In other words you might think you can buy a free ticket to success , but that is not how it works !

𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝘀: 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟯𝟳,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗱𝗮𝘆. And Investors are aggressively choosy about where to put their money. Your startup can only stand out with a pitch deck that has a: → 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗡𝗨𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗦. How I use storytelling in my clients' pitch: ↣ 𝗛𝗼𝗼𝗸 Open with a problem/pain. Use real-life examples to paint it. Example: "Every year, millions of tons of food go to waste, while families struggle to eat." ↣ 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗼 Tell how your startup solves that. Example: "A platform that connects surplus food with needy families" ↣ 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 Tell what you've achieved till now: Example: "In 6 months, we've rescued 100K meals, partnered with 50 local businesses." ↣ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘁 Show what obstacles you've faced. Example: "We've met challenges, our legal team has navigated these issues, to ensure compliance." ↣ 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴/𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: Align your story with investors' only desire. (money) Example: "Our projected revenue growth is 200% year-over-year, profitability in 2 years." ↣ 𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, Invite them to be a part of your story. Example: "Join us in making a positive impact on the world." 𝗣.𝗦: 𝗜 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀. 𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 :

With the end of the year in sight it is also good timing to review the progress the startups in my investment portfolio have made. One of the things I really like doing. It is super valuable to zoom out. Take a step back. Look at the plans that were created 12 months ago and where the teams are today. Given the nature of startups there are always many differences. So many things happen in one year at a startup. Sometimes good and sometimes not so good. Looking at progress from a distance and from a quarterly or even yearly perspective is one of the ways investors can really add value. Challenge the team. Provide new insights. See progress from a different angle. Often it is pretty hard for founders to take this perspective. They are super busy with day to day operations which makes it difficult to sit down and zoom out. How do you go about this? How do you leverage your investors?

Look for real problem solvers • Seek companies addressing genuine market pain points • Evaluate the size and growth potential of their target market • Check if their solution offers a significant improvement 2. Remember, past performance doesn't guarantee future success, but these indicators can help guide your assessment.
