Oh, wow. Haven't voted yet? Read this to see how your donations to Trump and others in the Republican Party gets used to illegally enrich themselves. One of the reasons they so want to put Trump cronies into the justice department. Don't believe it. Read this book!

Sick of giant corporations controlling government from the shadows? Consider a small donation to the one project doing something that can fix it. They have the right plan, but they need a funding boost right now. If you're serious when you complain about big money in politics, this is the single most effective way to actually do something. https://lnkd.in/et3Ppug5 Quick Background ... There's a ballot initiative in Maine to outlaw unlimited corporate funding of Super PACs. When the citizens of Maine vote to outlaw Super PAC funding, the case will go to the Supreme Court. And, the top legal minds are ready with new arguments that will clear the way for a Supreme Court decision to finally defund Super PACs once and for all. The donations are needed to make sure the Maine initiative actually makes it to the ballot. They're extremely close, but they're up against well-funded lobby groups. If you seriously care about a government that works for the people instead of the corporations, please seriously consider a donation. https://lnkd.in/et3Ppug5

As we head into the next general election, this event will help charities and funders to better understand current Conservative views on civil society, and what it means for them. We will be joined by Samuel Kasumu, former Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on Civil Society and Communities, and Jo Gideon MP to discuss: What differing approaches to the role of civil society are there in the Conservative Party? What might these differing approaches mean for civil society? How can the sector best influence the Conservative party in the run-up to, and following, the general election? https://lnkd.in/etFybKQ3

I think people are laboring under the misconception that the political campaigns, media, pundits and big donors are reading everyone's social media posts. You like Kamala Harris's running mate choice? Great. Saying so online might make a few people feel warm and fuzzy. But be real with yourself: Harris isn't reading your post, nor are any of her pollsters. You want to help? Send her money, every time she does something you approve of. If all you can afford is five bucks, send her five bucks. Money is a politician's only love language -- sad but true. Donations -- the gross amount raised, but also the number of individual contributions, especially small ones -- are the currency of campaigns. Those tabulations tell the candidates what they're doing right and wrong. They tell the media how the campaigns are resonating. And they tell big donors where to put their money to the best use. Be part of that, on whatever level you can afford to be. If you've never donated to a campaign before, make this your first. The stakes are existential this time around.

Political ads have enraged me. Political ads have also inspired me. As someone who has managed both political ads and political candidates, I can tell you that despite the frustration (that we’re ALL feeling) with the top of the ticket, tomorrow isn’t just about the President of the United States. Tomorrow will determine how you and your family’s lives change, most quickly and closely to home, whether you’re aware of it or not. Tomorrow will determine your state governor's office, state attorney general, (handling serious statewide criminal prosecutions) state house of representatives, state senate, county commissioners, local school board members, and perhaps most importantly, state supreme court justices - for obvious reasons... In Indiana, I know many of these people personally and feel compelled to remind you that they don’t have multi-million dollar budgets. In fact most of them have sacrificed their lives for years to travel to every corner of their districts, connect with citizens and raise small dollar donations. They've struggled to keep their heads above water just to have a shot in this crazy, f****ed up, money-in-politics world. They are passionate about people, not power, and need you to show up tomorrow, for the #DownBallot. They are army veterans, adoptive parents, non-profit directors, healthcare professionals, pilots, religious and non religious, concerned citizens who deeply care for the communities we all deserve to live in. If you need a refresher on exactly who will be on the ballot in your district, simply visit www.vote.org and type in your address. And if you'd like some insight on particular candidates, feel free to DM me. :) #ShowUp4TheNonMillionairs #AdvertisingForGood

The signs a nation has demensia: 1. Aggression/Agitation - it's leaders will lash out at its citizens causing increased stress, and the people to feel resentful. 2. Escalating Care Needs - the overall health of a nation is at risk, increasing the burden on states. 3. Sundowning - common symptom of Alzheimer’s disease and can cause many difficulties for the nation, and added stress for the citizens and leaders 4. Wandering - This is when a nation loses its way and wanders off from its guiding principles. This is one of the biggest problems for the citizens to deal with. It’s also one of the most dangerous because it can lead to increased risks of the downfall of the nation. 5.Serious Gaps in Memory - A nation suffering from dementia will show memory loss or gaps in memory. When this happens the past is forgotten, the future is undetermined, and the overall safety of the nation is of great concern. How can citizens save a nation with the onset of demensia?

This isn't just concerning... it's eye opening. WATCH as former President Barack Obama appears to help guide Biden off the stage after he appeared confused and frozen at an L.A. fundraiser. But is that what really went down? Or are your eyes deceiving you? It happened at Peacock Theater in L.A. where $28 million was raised for Biden's campaign. "Fact checkers" such as the Associated Press have been quick to declare that "Biden paused amid cheers and applause" - and that anything else is "misinformation". -- From the AP: In response to a question at a press briefing on Monday about videos that have been edited to make Biden appear frail or confused, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre called such footage “cheap fakes video” that are “done in bad faith.” She added that they demonstrate “everything that we need to know about how desperate, how desperate Republicans are here.” A source who helped organize, and attended, the fundraiser told the AP that there was nothing noteworthy about this moment and that Obama wanted to be “chummy” by walking offstage with Biden. Lewis Kay, a spokesperson for Kimmel, called the claims spreading online “nonsense.” “Attendees in the front were shouting at him, and President Biden was trying to hear them,” he wrote in an email to the AP. “It’s as simple as that.” -- REPOST for widespread exposure! As you can see, Obama appeared to some to handle Biden off the stage - Biden, who appeared to many to be staring into the crowd with a frozen look. Big names helping raise the cash haul included George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Jimmy Kimmel and Obama at the event. What say you? #thinblueline #lawenforcement

Y'all, 9 days left until what may be the most consequential election of our lives. 9 days to fight for a better future, for progress, and for the safeguarding of democracy in America. I am on the ground in Georgia to volunteer with the Harris campaign until after the election. The situation is fraught and margins are razor tight. We are in the fight of our lives and need every ounce of help we can get. If you want to help, I'm asking you to consider four key ways to contribute: 1 - Knock doors in the battlegrounds There are buses from most cities near battleground states on the weekends, organizations arranging midweek teams, etc. Or, if you can take a couple days off, join the surge in a battleground and work for several days on the ground. If you need help, I can try to connect you to the people and places that are doing the work 2 - Make calls There are phonebanks every single night. You can do it from home or find an in-person group phonebank happening near your https://lnkd.in/eXSpidgV 3 - Tell your friends and family - activate your networks! Recruit friends to do any of the above. Tell friends to vote, get family to vote. Etc. 4 - Donate to an organization that is supporting field work Forces on the ground desperately need more field help. Even small donations can make a difference in purchasing hotels/airbnbs for volunteers, money to print in-language materials etc. If you want to donate, give to an org that has a field program. Or donate to the KAFO Fund and earmark it for Albert in Georgia by emailing kafofund@Gmail. Com https://lnkd.in/engk_pdQ We have one week to do everything we possibly can to win this election, to safeguard our basic rights, and to fight for justice, equity, and the rule of law. So let's get to work!
