Proven winners rely on one simple trait: Resiliency The great Rocky Balboa once said: “It ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done.” Early in my career, I struggled to overcome setbacks. Here’s an example: My first assignment was a 10,000 SF industrial tenant lease requirement. Multiple tours, dozens of buildings, finally we found a perfect fit. After months of negotiating, the landlord requested proof of the tenant’s revenue. The tenant (my client) refused to provide. Immediately, the deal caved. I started to question the assignment. My senior broker said, “They will find a space with or without you." After a year of persevering, I had closed my first deal. Tip: To grow resiliency, face adversity in small doses through exercise.

In a world where same-day delivery is the norm, Central America faces unique challenges. But challenges breed innovation, and that's exactly what drew me to Vanguard Medical Logistics. We know what good looks like. Being a Panama-based company, we understand the difficulties of operating within Central America, but we have a core belief that you can operate at a higher level. 🌟 **Navigating Challenges: Lessons from History** 🌟 As I reflect on the remarkable journey of the Bartleson-Bidwell Party, the first wagon train to traverse the California Trail across Nevada in 1841, I am reminded of the resilience and determination required to overcome obstacles—much like the challenges we face in our professional lives today. By 1869, an estimated 450,000 pioneers had embarked on this arduous journey, navigating the treacherous 40-mile desert between Lovelock and Fernley, a stretch notorious for its lack of water. This historical trek exemplifies the spirit of perseverance and innovation, qualities that I strive to embody in my professional endeavors. Just as those early pioneers left behind remnants of their journey in Fallon during the 1930s, I believe that each challenge we encounter shapes our path and contributes to our growth. It inspires me to tackle obstacles head-on, learn from every experience, and lead with resilience. Let’s embrace the spirit of the pioneers and continue forging our paths, no matter how challenging the terrain may be. The Bartleson-Bidwell Party were the first wagon train to take the California Trail across Nevada in 1841. By 1869 there had been an estimated 450,000 people who had taken a covered wagon along the California Trail in Nevada. The 40 mile desert between Lovelock, and Fernley was the worst part of that trail because there was no water. In Fallon during the 1930's you could still find a lot of debris from the wagon trains that had crossed that stretch of desert.
