‘Think together, learn together, build together’ – is EmpowerED's motto when our team organises events and workshops around Europe. One of our key missions is to promote exchange, dialogue, and collaboration within the EdTech ecosystem through the creation of a European #EdTech Community.    Our approach is to design meaningful and intentional events, centered around the concept of ‘clarifying challenges’; bringing varied stakeholders around the table to discuss pertinent issues in EdTech, listening to their needs, and identifying gaps that EmpowerED can work towards abridging. Sharing a page from our Padlet board during our Digital Transformation info session earlier this week with Filipino teachers (in collaboration with amazing Pinay education innovators Raquel Cabrieto and Sarah Gellor-Hidalgo). Some trends I found telling of the times: 1. AI and big tech advancements in education are definitely here to stay whether or not school infrastructures are ready to support them. 2. Delaying the reskilling of teachers in developing regions will widen the innovation gap from (1) and deepen learning losses. 3. Growing pains now to reskill teachers will equate to gains in accessibility and literacy in maths and sciences in the future. 4. Building communities of practice in schools as a means to build new habits and techniques are crucial to long-term adoption of new tools in schools. We are currently opening info sessions for CoTeach | Innovation Partners’ Digital Transformation Workshop Series in schools and working with teachers to design EdTech experiences in classrooms.
