Recruiting talent in a new, rapidly emerging field like EV and clean transportation comes with many unique challenges. How do you fill roles that demand multiple years of experience for an industry as young as this? Raymond McSpirit shares his strategy on finding applicable experience from similar industries: “One of our greatest strengths is to understand what other markets have crossover to EV. That could be an engineer that worked within other power electronic systems, or somebody in quality control that worked on another automotive or highly regulated product. Each unique position and client requirement dictates where we recruit these people from.” #EV #ElectricVehicles #Innovation

.. The Energy Jobline team would like to offer our support to all the Tesla staff affected by the layoffs announced today. #Tesla is cutting more than 10 per cent of its workforce - at least 14,000 jobs - as a worldwide EV slowdown and brutal price war hits the American automaker. In an internal memo to employees Tesla's chief executive Elon Musk wrote, "We have . . . made the difficult decision to reduce our headcount by more than 10 per cent globally . . . this will enable us to be lean, innovative and hungry for the next growth phase cycle," The job cuts come as the slowdown in sales of EVs makes waves across the global car industry, with companies across the supply chain from South Korea to Germany slashing jobs and costs. Find out more here: 👉 https://lnkd.in/eKag2rTQ Energy Jobline has around 43,000 jobs in EV & Battery globally, which are available to apply for right now.
