Papua New Guinea is one of the few countries where we fail to hold our public service leadership accountable. Yet, we see leadership crying foul about problems in the public service, expecting to solve deeply rooted issues without taking responsibility. We excel at talking about problems, but when it comes to fixing them through genuine leadership accountability, we simply cannot do it. This is nothing short of insanity. #LeadershipAccountability #PublicServiceReform #PNGLeadership #AccountabilityMatters #GoodGovernance #FixTheSystem #EthicalLeadership #PublicSectorTransformation

Leadership is vital in developing partnerships that deliver sustainable results. In order to make local systems inclusive, resilient and competitive, the key actors therein must provide leadership that is strategically transformative. And our role at the GPC is to equip those leaders with skills by facilitating processes that close their leadership technical gaps.
GOAL's Global Partnership Centre recently facilitated leadership training for two of our local partners in Honduras: the Mennonite Social Action Commission (CASM), and the Bay Islands Conservation Association (BICA). This training was conducted by the Global Executive Leadership Initiative - GELI. Giselle Brady, Technical Director at BICA, and Wendy Aguilar, Communications and Sponsorship Office for CASM, participated in the GELI Regional Training Programme: Influencing for Senior Leaders. This training is designed to equip senior leaders in humanitarian aid and development organisations with the skills they need to successfully execute advocacy campaigns on behalf of some of the world's most vulnerable communities. Thank you to the Global Executive Leadership Initiative - GELI for supporting the Global Partnership Centre in fulfilling our Irish Aid commitments, which include fostering organisational growth for our local partners. Corporations, churches, communities, families, etc need leaders of character. Leadership is key to human preservation, growth, sustainability and change. No matter what condition a society or nation finds itself in, it did not arrive there by accident. Someone led them there. To get the Africa we want and deal with our current challenges addressed we need to renew our emphasis on the foundational elements of positive and effective leadership.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of addressing Ghana's top business leaders at the CEO Presidential Gala 2024. My message was clear: to unlock Ghana's full economic potential, we must promote a private sector that thrives without undue political influence. Additionally, I advocated for merit-based CEO appointments in state agencies as talent and expertise are essential for our nation's progress. #EconomicGrowth #PrivateSectorDevelopment #GhanaBusinessLeaders #GhanaEconomy #BusinessAndPolitics #LeadershipInGhana
