Asia CEO Awards is now open for nomination for 2024..One of the awards is for the SME of the Year category..Almost 8 years ago, barely 5 years from its existence in 2016, iMaverick Int'l Corp. won the SME Asia CEO award, the first time the SME category was given. Indeed there were so many significant milestones and achievements on that early part of our journey with the risk appetite and aggresiveness nature of our business model then.. Nonetheless in business, there is no ultimate summit, but a continuous journey knowing that we have to face many challenges in the horizon. We had roller coaster ride since then with the deepest dive during the pandemic..Our hospitality business Hotel Atienza Baler ( Hotel A) and, Casa Herminia Baler were closed for almost 2 years with continous accumulation of bank interest and penalty during pandemic ..it was a double edge sword since our modular cabinet Kitchen Square by IMIC and glass mosaic Bisazza Philippines Inc. got hit as well where most of its hotel clients deferred their capital expenditure. Now 2 years after , while still reeling from the effect of pandemic, the team spirit is more resilient than ever, gaining more wisdom and maturity..While our team members are mostly veterans of difficult times, we now think and operate like a start up business, but no longer naive, pivoting to new strategy aligning to the continuous changing landscape of business..
