I snapped a photo of two perfectly placed branded beach towels on a bed. To some, this might seem like a simple touch, but to me it speaks volumes about the power of a well-thought-out brand.
Every time the team walked by, they repositioned drinks in the same spot and each time I returned everything had been perfect arranged. It was flawless and each detail was meticulously maintained, revealing:

Clothing production has doubled since 2000, and we now buy 60% more clothing. This surge in overconsumption is alarming.
That's why, as both a consumer and marketer, I'm thoroughly impressed with Vinted's marketing campaign 'Too Many,' created in partnership with the Amsterdam agency Wolfstreet.
So, what did Vinted do right in this ad?
1️⃣ Beautiful cinematography and shocking visuals: The ad artfully depicts the realities of overconsumption without finger-wagging. It highlights the absurdity of owning multiple items that you won't wear or use.
2️⃣ Highlighting the root of the problem: Instead of just selling the idea of shopping secondhand, the campaign shows the reality of our choices and the impact of overconsumption.
3️⃣ Emphasizing a clear CTA: The ad demonstrates how simple it is to sign up and make money from items you already have and don't need.
This is an example of a strong global ad that resonates in all languages.
It's clear and beautiful, confronts the issue head-on, and has a strong CTA. It perfectly supports Vinted's mission to make secondhand the first choice.

There are three things you need to ask yourself when choosing your merchandise.
👉Is it practical? Because if people won’t use it, it's not worth it.
👉Is it eye-catching? It needs to stand out in a crowd.
