I love that Mark did not shy away from responding to my question about 'people in leadership roles' directly and succinctly. (I also love that it became a 'takeaway' 😉) We all need to grow, learn and develop at every stage of our careers. A job title is not a destination. A leadership role is the start of a journey. A journey where you get to choose: ✅ Do I choose to build a culture that's good for people's wellbeing? ❌ or detrimental to people's wellbeing? ✅ Will I operate with a growth mindset? ❌ or fixed mindset? ✅ Do I want to leave a great legacy? ❌ or carnage? ✅ Do I want to cast a leadership light? ❌ or shadow? ✅ Do I want people to follow me out of respect and because they buy in to my vision? ❌ or out of fear? ✅ Do I engage with a coach who has my success and best interests at heart? ❌ or do I think I have nothing left to learn?

If you don't find a resolution, things don't get better. Things get worse. Ask earnest questions, listen, and find alignment with people you have unresolved issues with. Don't order them to follow you based on your rank or title.
