I have a CASAC Gambling Specialty Designation, which means I completed the 60-hour Problem Gambling Core Curriculum-Treatment Track. You can complete the training free of charge through New York Council on Problem Gambling listed as “Problem Gambling Treatment Specialist Training (OASAS 60 hours).” You should do this because: cooccuring gambling & SUD is very high, people who struggle with gambling-related harm are at increased suicide risk, and because it’s not an epidemic of a specific drug, but one of trauma, mental health crises, and escapism. #BeTheChange #CasacG
