What does the process of reimaging your F&B operation look like? At Carousel Hospitality, we don't hear that term and simply pull out a can of paint and slap a new logo up, shuffle a half dozen menu items and call it a day. Careful, thoughtful impactful analysis is conducted. We have meaningful discussions with our partners on what the scope and scale of the project looks like, including of course cost, but most importantly, what is the desired outcome and ultimately, is that outcome moving the needle on guest satisfaction and taking the guest experience to the next level! When you're ready to evolve your guest experiences, let's discuss what reimaging your F&B operation and enhancing your total guest experience looks like. https://lnkd.in/eWWvVV2P Enhancing the total guest experience, one person at a time. #letsgo #partnership #business #guestexperience #vision

Here's what our Board President, Gerardo (Gary) Sanchez, Senior Director of Community Impact, Equity, and Public Affairs at Visit Dallas, had to say about his involvement at 24HourDallas: ''My role with 24HourDallas began in 2017 (before 24HourDallas had its name), when there was an initiative to enforce a “Late Hours Overlay” on businesses opened past 12am, with the intent of addressing parking, noise, alleged crimes, and other claims. The ordinance was flawed and was drafted with no input from residents, neighborhood businesses, property owners or employees. Organized by the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association, there was a strong opposition to this ordinance, officially called, “Stop The Curfew.” Thanks in big part to the hundreds of service industry works who showed up at Dallas City Hall to voice their opposition, it was defeated. The ordinance went through the process of being heard at council committees, but it was ultimately dropped. The idea of taking a pro-active approach on addressing these matters soon arose, and in January 2020, the first 24HourDallas member meeting occurred at the Omni Hotel. Although 24HourDallas has grass-roots origins, it’s had tremendous effects on Dallas, and it’s been fantastic to see many of our ideas come true – our Good Neighbor Initiative and Copper Star Certification program (now in its third year); the hiring of the city’s Manager of Nighttime Economy and Responsible Hospitality, and more recently, the publishing of our first Nighttime Economic Study, which demonstrated that in 2023, the Dallas nightlife scene contributed $15 billion in direct economic impact, and when considering induced effects, the overall indirect economic influence was $24.4 billion and the support of 256,000 jobs. As the current President of the 24HourDallas board of directors, I’m extremely proud of the work we’ve done, and moved by everyone’s commitment to our mission: “to create a safe, vibrant, and diverse nighttime culture for businesses, residents, and guests,” because the nighttime really is for everyone.'' “What is the story of St. Patrick’s Day?” It’s a question I probably ask myself every year. Every holiday has some kind of origin story, but some seem to stick more than others. St. Patrick’s Day seems to be an excuse for adolescents to pinch each other, people who love green to celebrate their favorite color, the Irish to proclaim their heritage, and those who like to drink to do so in excess. And even those who aren’t Irish get in on the celebration (see the video of my three-year-old grandson delivering the line his father taught him on St. Pat's Day). According to history.com, “St. Patrick’s Day observes of the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. The holiday has evolved into a celebration of Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, drinking and a whole lot of green.” It appears the music, drinking, dancing, and a whole lot of green were not in the original story of St. Patrick but were the evolution to the holiday in present times. Think about the stories of your business and your corporate culture. Are they clear enough that the purpose will last? Or will they evolve over time into something that drifts from the original meaning? I teach people that when they use stories to teach, lead, sell, and inspire, they need to start with the purpose of the story. What lesson are you teaching? What action do you want to inspire? What do you want people to remember and do after hearing your story? If we aren’t intentional about our stories, they may become something other than what we originally intended. So, be sure to imbue your stories with purpose so people remember their meaning and they have the impact you intend. Otherwise, you may end up with corporate legends that are different than you want. #storytellingforbusiness #teachleadsellinspire #storiesmatter

This article, authored by one our Wyatt partners, is well worth a read.
Tad Myre authored a heartfelt article in the November issue of Kentucky Monthly about the historic Hotel Metropolitan in Paducah. Once a vital stop for Black travelers during the Jim Crow era, this “Green Book” hotel hosted iconic figures like Louis Armstrong, Ray Charles, and Tina Turner. Myre highlights the hotel’s cultural significance and its ongoing preservation efforts, including the recent $1.34 million Mellon Foundation grant that ensures its future as a museum. This piece is a moving tribute to both the enduring legacy of the hotel and to Tad's late wife, Nancie.

These fuzzy friends, diligently crafted by our 3D design team, are in honour of our new hive queen 🐝 Recent bee developments have seen our Queen "Dottie" replaced with a new Queen (a natural progression); very interestingly, the Bees have allowed Dottie to remain in the hive alongside the new Queen - a process known as supersedure 👑 This means, of course, we have to name our new queen! Check out how to enter to win an un-bee-lievable goodie packaging of some of our favourite products: ⭐️ Comment your name suggestion below ⭐️ Spread the word of our competition to give your connections a chance to win too! The competition closes at noon on Friday 18th October 2024. Once all entries have been reviewed and voted on by our team, a winner will be announced on Monday 21st October 2024!
