🌟 Cognac and Conversations: A Night of Purposeful Dialogue and Action 🌟 Last night was nothing short of inspiring. Our Cognac and Conversations event brought together a room filled with powerful voices and change-makers who are all passionate about making a tangible difference in education, talent development, and the workforce. It was a night of intentional conversations, where we delved deep into what we can do to identify and close some critical gaps. Two ideas that resonated with me were the importance of not getting caught in the vacuum and the need for increased awareness of available talent. So often, individuals feel boxed into certain career paths without knowing what else is out there or how their unique traits can lead to fulfilling work. This is where CultureLancer comes in. One of our core missions is to expand this awareness—helping individuals align their passions, skills, and traits with career possibilities they might not have considered. We don’t just want to open doors; we want to provide intentional access to opportunities that can truly transform lives. This event is the beginning of something bigger, as we plan to hold these gatherings quarterly, with our next one in March 2025. At the end of the night, each attendee made a personal commitment to drive change, and we’ll be following up to ensure those commitments stay on track. It’s about creating accountability, moving beyond just talk, and making real, measurable progress. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last night. It was a privilege to share the evening with such impactful individuals, each of whom brought their own energy and insight to the table. Special thanks to: • Late August (located in the Ion Houston for hosting us in their beautiful space. • Danny, the owner, for being such a gracious host. • Pierre Ferrand for being our signature cognac of the night. • Tariq, our incredible mixologist, for crafting memorable drinks that elevated the entire experience. Good food, good drinks, and even better conversation. I can’t wait for the next one, and to see how these conversations turn into actions that truly make an impact. Let’s keep the momentum going. 🌍✨ #CognacAndConversations #CultureLancer #Education #TalentDevelopment #WorkforceInnovation #CommunityImpact #HoustonEvents #CareerPathways #PurposefulConnections Chastiny Brown, Alexia Jones, Tiara Abu - Making HERstory, Akeel Bernard CPC, ELI-MP, Adrianne Stone, Loretta Williams Gurnell Sable R. 🚀 Wow, can't believe it's Friday already! Flashback to last week when I was geared up to see Steven Bartlett at the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney). What an inspiring event, his connection with the audience was unreal! But let's talk "BUCKETS". Stevens wisdom on filling these 5 buckets hit me hard: 🪣 Knowledge 🪣 Skills 🪣 Network 🪣 Resources 🪣 Reputation My takeaways… 🔸Fill 'em up, starting with skills and knowledge, and let them overflow because life doesn't pause. Keep aiming for those daily 1% gains – they add up big time! 🔸Nurture your natural talents and find that rare complementary skill. And remember, don't just follow the industry – disrupt it! 🔸Jellybeans - Life is preciouse - Enjoy the Journey (My Fav) Happy Friday everyone, make it a fantastic weekend! #HumanRecruitment #ArcqTalent

I failed. I'll always remember my first time planning Best of Boston. I planned for months, weeks, days. The most "important" party of the summer was resting on my shoulders. Hundreds of thousands of sponsorship dollars and a hefty portion of my marketing budget. I religiously watched the forecast. No rain in site. And then it poured. 😭 Not a sprinkle. A downpour. Just as the first of a thousand guests started to enter the event. I've encountered numerous challenges during my career and faced my fair share of setbacks. However, I've realized that these moments of "failure" have been invaluable in shaping who I am today and the work I deliver. Mistakes play an essential role in our development. As much as we want to go back and erase them, they make us who we are. Each misstep is a stepping stone towards greater understanding and improvement. At the time, I believed I failed. But I recovered. Guests had fun (SO much fun!), and sponsors like JetBlue, Tequila Patrón, and Anheuser-Busch, to name a few, returned year after year. It rained at many more events in the months and years to follow. And you know what? I thrived. 🚀 My plans and preparations were iron-clad. I went on to grow the event, hire the best team, re-invent the event, and expand its revenue potential multiple times over. 💪 The failures have taught me resilience, humility, and the importance of perseverance. Without these lessons, I wouldn't have achieved the successes I've experienced or created the impactful work I'm passionate about. Take your risks and celebrate your mistakes—not as failures but as opportunities for growth, learning, and innovation. What was a major learning moment during your career? The video below is from the event the following year. The event was named one of the top 100 events in Boston by BizBash 👇 #GrowthMindset #CareerDevelopment #marketing 𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑝𝑜𝑠𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑖𝑛 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ @𝐵𝑢𝑖𝑙𝑑 𝐼𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑐𝑡 𝐶𝑜𝑛𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑡’𝑠 𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑦𝑡𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑔𝑒! 11 years of hosting and moderating - and it’s been quite the ride. I officially quit my job in August 2018 to go all-in, but the truth is, I was hosting and moderating long before that. It just took me a few years to realise I had real traction, take it seriously, and let the journey unfold. And what a journey it’s been! From interviewing Monica Lewinsky, Gianfranco Zola, and Nico Rosberg to working with brands I admire, I’ve grown from hosting small entrepreneurial events to leading flagship corporate conferences, product launches, and annual gatherings for some of the world’s biggest names. Along the way, I’ve had the honour of moderating meaningful conversations in areas like climate impact and sustainability. Of course, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing. Taking the leap into full-time hosting was terrifying. Building this career hasn’t always been easy. But as I reflect on the past 11 years, I feel nothing but gratitude, for the experiences, the growth, and the people who’ve been part of this wild adventure. To my clients, thank you for trusting me with your visions and events. To my friends & family (Mum, I know it took a while to figure out what exactly I do), thank you for your unwavering support. And to every mentor, event producer, and colleague who believed in me, your encouragement has meant the world. As I look ahead to the next decade, I can’t wait to see where this journey leads. New stages to step onto, bold ideas to bring to life, and more moments that remind me why I love what I do. To my incredible network - if you’re working on something exciting, or just think our paths should cross, let’s chat. I’m always up for a conversation about cool collaboration opportunities. #LoveldaVincenzi #EventModeration #EventMC

Each one brings back great memories and reminds me of how much these gatherings mean. Our annual dinners have been about more than just celebrating work; they’re about recognizing our shared journey and taking time to honor all we’ve accomplished as a team. 🌟🏆 Why These Moments Matter 🕰️ From achievements to small wins, every dinner over the years has marked another step forward, reminding us of all the hard work, creativity, and resilience everyone has contributed. Year after year, our dinners have been about more than work—they’re moments where we get to connect, share stories, and relax together, strengthening our bond as a team. It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day demands of work, often leaving industry trends, new research, and personal development on the back burner. But this year, I’ve set a clear goal—not only to contribute to Sleek but to make a meaningful impact on the industry as a whole! By sharing this here, I’m holding myself accountable, and I’m excited for the journey ahead. One of the most eye-opening moments from our Summer Offsite last year was attending a Neurodiversity workshop. It made me realise how much more we can do to create truly inclusive events. 💡 A powerful statistic: around 1 in 7 people in the UK are neurodivergent—that’s roughly 15-20% of the population, or about 13 million people. With this in mind, it’s essential that we design events and spaces where everyone feels valued, respected, and included. Small yet impactful changes—such as sharing event details well in advance, providing quiet spaces, and being mindful of sensory triggers—can make a huge difference. And I know there’s so much more to learn! As I continue my research, I’d love to hear from others in the industry. How are you making your events more inclusive? Let’s share ideas and work together as an industry to drive meaningful change. Drop a comment or message me—I’d love to connect! #eventprofs #eventindustry #neurodiversity #producer #TeamSleek
