Galliford Try PLC (LSE:GFRD) said progress has been strong in the current year, with full-year revenue and underlying profit running ahead of the top end of current market forecasts. "We expect to report another year of strong performance across all our operations with increased revenue and profit as we continue to progress our updated Sustainable Growth Strategy to 2030,” Bill Hocking, the construction group's chief executive, commented. Hocking added that orders outstanding currently stood at £3.8 billion (£3.7 billion) with 92% of revenue for this year secured. Galliford Try added that it had £227 million of cash on 30 June 2024 (2023: £220m) with average month-end cash during the financial year of circa £155m (2023: £135m). Kris Hampson will join the Group as Chief Financial Officer on 2 September 2024, added the statement. Current market forecasts for the year to 30 June 2024 are revenues of £1.435bn... Construction Firm Director Disqualified for 8 Years 🚨 Samantha Fairweather, director of Essex-based Fairweather Construction Ltd, has been disqualified from serving as a company director for eight years after taking over £300,000 in deposits for home improvement projects that were never delivered.
