Keyland recently sold its interests in Templegate Developments Ltd to joint venture partner EVANS PROPERTY GROUP for an undisclosed sum.   TEMPLEGATE DEVELOPMENTS LIMITED is the company behind Skelton Gate, a 170-acre former open-cast colliery site to the east of Junction 45 of the M1.   Skelton Gate is being developed and built using key principles of sustainable development whilst delivering a residentially led mixed-use scheme of high quality and design. To date, the partnership of Evans and Keyland has secured planning permission for Phases 1 and 2, which includes up to 1,100 homes, a new school, public open space, a local centre and a food store. An application is currently running for Phase 3, which will provide an additional 700 homes and infrastructure. Ladner, a small Lower Mainland town set within the larger, fast-growing municipality of Delta, B.C., is starting to get a taste of higher density development more common among its neighbours, reported Real Estate News Exchange (RENX). Did you know that US 1 which runs right through #DowntownDelray ends in Fort Kent, Maine? The story of US 1 begins in 1925 with creation of the US numbered highway system. Main east-west roads were given even numbers and the major north-south highways were assigned odd numbers. That's how the Atlantic Coast Highway running from Fort Kent, Maine to Miami, Florida became US 1. In 1939, Florida extended US 1 to Key West, stretching 2,446 miles. In the mid-1970s, the state DOT widened US 1 to three lanes. But that caused cars to come speeding through Downtown Delray Beach. Our city's walkability was being greatly impacted. In the early 2000s, city leaders along with the DDA and CRA lobbied to return the road back to 2 lanes in each direction through Downtown Delray. US 1 went through an extensive $14 million construction project to reduce the lanes, add sidewalk space, bike lanes and make it more pedestrian-friendly through our town. Delray is one of the most walkable downtowns in all of South Florida, with our main street going all the way to the beach and the changes to US 1 are another reason we are the #VillageByTheSea! #LoveDelray
