Across the Atlantic, Continental Tire the Americas, LLC (Continental) is conducting two parallel recalls. The largest relates to Continental’s ProContact GX AO tyres. According to US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) filings, centres on size 255/35R19 96H XL fitments of the tyre made between 9 May 2021 and 17 August 2024 and relates to potential belt separation issues. Continental reports that ProContact GX AO was mainly sold as an OE fitment for the Audi A4/A5. But approximately 10 per cent of the affected tyres were sold in the US replacement market. April is normally the slow month after Easter when new car buyers start their winter hibernation by avoiding the wet and chilly car yards. In 2024 there was an early Easter and warmer weather which has lead to April achieving the highest-ever year-to-date new vehicle sales result. Fleet and Government buyers were the biggest winners with April deliveries being significantly higher than 2023. New car sales to Business buyers were up 27.8 per cent and sales to Government buyers were up 38.9 per cent. https://lnkd.in/gs3a8XGa

Hello LinkedIn community, I hope you’re all doing well. I wanted to share my recent experience with my Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, which I purchased on October 4, 2022. Despite being a premium product, I’ve been facing persistent battery issues for the past two months. 🚴♂️🔋 I’ve visited the service center three times, and while they confirmed that my bike has no other problems, the battery is clearly faulty. However, the service team has refused to replace it, claiming that the battery was manufactured in May 2022 and is therefore out of warranty. 📅❌ Here’s my confusion: I received the bike on October 4, 2022, and the battery comes with a 2-year warranty. So how can it already be out of warranty? This situation is incredibly frustrating. As a premium customer, investing in one of Royal Enfield’s top models should come with a promise of quality and support, and this experience has been disappointing, to say the least. I’m reaching out to Royal Enfield and the broader community to help bring attention to this issue. Is this the level of service we should expect for a high-end purchase? I urge Royal Enfield to reconsider their stance and provide a replacement battery under warranty. Customer satisfaction should always be a priority, especially for premium products.
