💡LED Lighting is a game changer in so many ways & shouldn't be ignored The EU 2023 changes to legislation prevents ‘non-LED bulbs’ in any older luminaires being changed and in place necessitates complete change of the whole luminaire at higher costs. The only exception to this would be to change to LED tubes keeping the existing luminaire body albeit this is not our recommendation. Any perceived initial cost saving wouldn’t offer the safety, warranty energy reduction, lighting quality improvements, maintenance, or capital allowance benefits of a complete change while often the labour cost is higher than purchasing a replacement. 2011/65/EU RoHS Directive, updated in 2023 and being mirrored in UK effectively bans the sale of all fluorescent & ballast lamps. A UK exemption on many of these was initially put in place but this expired end January 2024, and the ban is now effective from 1st February 2024. https://lnkd.in/eQn_6zgM Technically this ban is at a manufacturing/import level. The EU ban was effective September 2023 and the UK from 1st February 2024 so any form of fluorescent lamp, whether T8, T5 or Compact format will no longer be available. (this also applies to all metal halide/SON & halogen format lamps too) We've been experts in lighting since the beginning of LED technology and part of its evolution to help clients reap the many rewards it can offer. New UK legislation effective from February this year banned the manufacture and import of fluorescent and discharge lamps due to mercury content. This will lead to these lamps becoming harder to source and a lot more costly to maintain, so now is a great time to consider transitioning to LED alternatives. Although LED replacement lamps can provide a stop gap solution, they can often be of low quality potentially giving users poor quality lighting in terms of flicker, colour rendering, glare and distribution. Llumarlite offer a range of lighting solutions including retrofit and remanufactured LED luminaires which offer a sustainable solution with potential payback in as little as 18 months, thanks to reduced energy and maintenance costs. For a more efficient, repairable, and lasting lighting system, contact Llumarlite to review your options: 01296 436666 Email info@llumarlite.co.uk Read more about the ban and its implications here https://lnkd.in/e_Wtkzc4 #LightingCompliance #retrofit #LEDUpgrade #lighting

🗒️ What makes a photocontrol receptacle waterproof? A photocontrol receptacle is essential for automating outdoor lights, enhancing security, and saving energy. To ensure reliable operation in changing outdoor conditions, it must be waterproof. Rain, snow, and dust can damage internal electrical parts, leading to malfunctions and safety issues. Key Features of Waterproof Photocontrol Receptacles: Seals and Gaskets: High-quality materials like silicone or neoprene create watertight seals [6]. IP Ratings: IP44 and IP65 ratings indicate resistance to water ingress and dust [6]. Weather-Resistant Materials: Stainless steel or ABS plastics prevent rust and UV damage [6]. Testing and Certification: NEMA and IEC standards ensure performance and safety [6]. Invest in certified waterproof photocontrol receptacles like LONGJOIN to ensure durability and safety in outdoor lighting systems. #receptacle #photocontrol #waterproof #photocell #nema #longjoin # https://lnkd.in/giuGpNyb

High Temperature LED Lights – High Heat Facility LED Lighting #65°C #80°C #176°F #Highbaylight #HighTemperatureLights #LEDLights #IndustrialLighting #LEDFittings #HighHeatFacilityLighting Most LED lighting solutions fail when illuminated in hot environments. The heat bakes the electronics in the LED driver, which can lead to damage. Heat also causes LED lumens to decay, which means that LEDs quickly lose their ability to emit light. ROKEE high temperature LED lamps are designed to withstand extreme heat conditions, making them the right choice for high temperature locations. High temperature LED lamps are designed with an advanced thermal management system to provide sustained performance in high temperature environments. These lamps are designed to operate reliably even at temperatures up to 80° C/176° F, making them ideal for applications where traditional LED lighting fails. November 2023 - March 2024 saw the UK government conduct a consultation to identify a new set of statutory guidelines for a revised Approved Document L that accounts for 'Building other than dwellings.' This will shape requirements that lighting manufacturers must integrate into their products in the coming years - critical for lighting businesses to remain compliant, ethical, and competitive 📈 Knowing that for buildings other than dwellings, the minimum luminaire efficacy for general lighting will be raised from 95 to 105 luminaire lumens per circuit-watt, Forge's advanced 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, cutting-edge 𝐋𝐄𝐃'𝐬, 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐂𝐁𝐬 mounted on optimised 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, can help you achieve this 💙 Want to know more about our advanced custom solutions? Lamp aging indeed refers to the gradual deterioration of lighting fixtures as they are exposed to various environmental factors over time. This process can affect their performance, appearance, and materials. Key points about lamp aging include: 1.Performance Changes: Over time, a lamp may produce less light output (lumen depreciation) or change color temperature, impacting the quality of light it provides. 2.Material Degradation: The materials used in lighting fixtures, such as plastics, metals, and glass, can degrade due to factors like UV exposure, heat, and humidity, leading to physical changes. 3.Environmental Adaptation: Lighting fixtures may adapt to their environment, potentially reducing failure rates by adjusting to specific conditions such as temperature and humidity levels. 4.Maintenance and Lifespan: Regular maintenance can mitigate some effects of aging, ensuring that fixtures operate efficiently for a longer period. 5.Selection of Appropriate Fixtures: Choosing fixtures designed for specific environmental conditions can also help in reducing the impacts of aging. Understanding these factors can help in making informed decisions regarding lighting installation and maintenance, ultimately improving longevity and efficiency. #Lampaging #ledlighting #ledlights #ledlight #panellight #floodlight
