Are the festive feeds and events starting to come thick and fast? Here's some quick tips to help keep you mindful and on track. 1. STAY CONSISTENT: While it might be a bit more difficult to stay on top of the festive treats, ensuring you still turn up to your training means you are not starting from scratch come January. 2. PLAN AHEAD: Plan your week and schedule in workouts like appointments. That way you are more likely to stick to your routine. Planning around your bigger festive meals also allows you to... 3. BALANCE YOUR MEALS: If you know there is a big event or meal coming up, aim to balance out your days, meals and calories to accommodate. Try to avoid too many office snipers from the treat boxes! 4. TUNE INTO YOUR BODY: Do you ever feel out of touch with your hunger and appetite during the festive season? If this sounds like you, then ask yourself the following question: "Am I actually feeling hungry?" If the answer is yes - opt for a proper nutritious meal rather than grazing your way through the day. 5. BE MINDFUL OF THE BOOZE: Again set the boundaries. Alcohol is a common theme and is often associated with festivities and social events. Just like no food should be "banned", the same should be true with alcohol. If you can, avoid participating in 'rounds. - that is game over. You may feel compelled to drink faster to keep up with your mates and have more drinks than you initially intended. 6. BE KIND TO YOURSELF: Above all remember to enjoy this time of year and be kind to yourself. the goal isn't to be perfect... It's to stay mindful. If you overdo it on one day, just get back on track the next - without the guilt! And most of all - HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR! Check the comments for a link to my FREE resources to help you stay on track.

Drinking responsibly during Memorial Day weekend ensures you have a safe and enjoyable time. Here are some tips to help you do so: 1. Set Limits: Decide how many drinks you'll have before you start drinking and stick to that limit. 2. Pace Yourself: Drink slowly, savoring your beverage. Aim for no more than one drink per hour. 3. Eat First: Have a meal before drinking and snack on food throughout the event. This helps slow alcohol absorption. 4. Stay Hydrated: Alternate alcoholic drinks with water or other non-alcoholic beverages to stay hydrated. 5. Know Your Limits: Be aware of how alcohol affects you and know when to stop. If you feel tipsy, take a break. 6. Designate a Driver: Plan ahead for a sober ride home, whether it's a designated driver, ride-sharing service, or public transport. 7. Avoid Mixing: Stick to one type of alcoholic drink and avoid mixing different types, which can lead to quicker intoxication. 8. Watch Your Drinks: Keep an eye on your drink to prevent it from being tampered with, and avoid accepting drinks from strangers. 9. Take Breaks: Spend time doing activities that don't involve drinking, such as playing games, socializing, or enjoying outdoor activities. 10. Look Out for Others: Keep an eye on friends and family to ensure they are also drinking responsibly. By following these tips, you can enjoy your Memorial Day weekend safely and responsibly.
