Understanding Microstress 🤯 Have you ever considered how the minor stresses encountered daily can accumulate, significantly impacting our overall wellbeing? While stress is often conspicuous and overt, microstress operates in the background, less detectable but equally impactful. Embedded in our everyday experiences, microstress may seem fleeting or insignificant when viewed individually. Microstress permeates our lives in ways we often fail to recognize! Their subtle nature makes them easy to dismiss, yet their cumulative effect can take a significant toll on our health, wellbeing and performance. But where do these imperceptible microstressors originate? Incorporating breathwork into our daily routines enables us to reset our autonomic nervous system at any time of the day. As a result, we become less triggered by the stresses and challenges of daily life. Take one long deep inhale through the nose from the base of the stomach to the top of the chest followed by one short quick inhale through nose. Pause for a one second and then slowly exhale through the mouth. Repeat this process for one minute. A focus on the foundations of wellness, the conscious choice to focus on health and wellbeing can only increase our quality of life.
