New article It was just one slide. One I'd created at the last minute and slotted into the deck 'just in case'. I was surprised then, when all of the delegates mentioned it when we were reviewing the content of the session. It had, apparently, challenged their thinking, given them new ideas and made them see just how important team meetings can be. Team meetings. Part of the cultural fabric of your organisation. A key activity for any manager or leader. A highlight of the working week. No? Read my tips for successful team meetings here: https://buff.ly/4i2rRvL

What’s not being heard ? In a Team setting we usually hear from the On The Spot Thinkers and we tend not to hear from the Reflectors. Team meetings are flawed if they are only setup to benefit one way of thinking 🤔 It’s time to CHANGE how we hold Team Meetings. * Topics for discussion sent out in advance * Goals sent out in advance of the meeting so everyone is clear on where they need to get to * Break halfway through for Quiet 🤫 reflection to facilitate those that like to consider a bit of time to think things over * A REAL opportunity to add additional thoughts the next day before outcomes are decided The fastest and loudest voice isn’t always the right one ☝🏻 That’s not to say they are not, but if you have 5 people attending a meeting and you only hear from 2 then you’re not getting a well rounded discussion in the subject matter. What do you do to make sure all voices are heard ? I would love to hear your ideas 💡 #Teamwork #TeamCoaching #theonlegsagency #allvoices
