Everyone is unique. We all have different backgrounds and stories. Embracing these differences isn’t just nice—it’s powerful. When we see and value the uniqueness in each person, amazing things happen. I love celebrating National Day, it reminds me how fortunate I am as a Singaporean with the safe, diverse and harmonious place we call home. A leader’s job is to bring out the best in people. When people feel valued and included, they shine. They share their best ideas, take bold steps, and work together seamlessly. Inclusion isn’t about fitting everyone into the same mould. It’s about celebrating our differences and using them to create something extraordinary, the best way forward. So, how do we make everyone feel they belong? 🔺 We must be intentional. 🔺 Set clear goals for diversity. 🔺 Train our teams on biases. 🔺 Create policies that ensure fairness. When people feel they belong, they give their best. Let’s embrace our unique qualities, build inclusive environments, and harness our diverse talents. Happy 59th Birthday Singapore! 🎂 #happynationalday #diversityequalityinclusion #gratitude

🌍✨ I'm so excited about the Multi-Culti ERG recognition! This marks the first-ever official ERG at TÜV SÜD that champions cultural diversity where all nationalities are welcome. It's a huge milestone for us, highlighting our commitment to inclusiveness and global people growth. Thank you Behnoush Behdad-Lohmann, Johannes Bussmann and Markus Schwarzenböck for all your support. 🌏 The goal is fostering One Multi-Cultural TÜV SÜD! 🌐 As our world and business expand, we encounter new horizons that require us to navigate cultural nuances with colleagues and customers. Embracing and celebrating these differences is crucial. Trust me, it can be challenging but also incredibly fun! 😄 I remember one of my first experiences abroad. With my not-so-great French, I tried to tell a coworker that the summer was very hot. Unfortunately, I used the wrong words and ended up saying I was very hot! 😅 These little, funny mishaps teach us to give the speaker a second chance to understand how the situation happened. 😅 Understanding and respecting cultural nuances is key. For example, in Singapore, it's important to communicate requirements in writing first and then have a short call. In Korea, it can be considered rude to use only one hand when receiving something. And in Colombia, flexibility is key! 🌍✋📝 By valuing these differences, we enhance our ability to move further and faster together as One TÜV SÜD. 🚀💬 Let's continue to embrace our diverse backgrounds and drive forward with inclusiveness at the forefront Laura Díaz Herranz, Leonardo Florez, Sopna Begum, Erdem Köygülü. 🚀💬 #Diversity #Inclusion #GlobalGrowth #CulturalNuances #TÜVSÜD

It's Malaysia Day weekend, and our office is closed in celebration. Perspective Strategies takes great pride in the diversity and inclusivity of the team. Ours is a multi-racial group, with members practicing different religions, speaking various languages at home, and even having distinct dietary preferences shaped by our religious and cultural beliefs. This diversity is what defines us as Malaysians and, more importantly, strengthens us as a team. We are truly grateful for this and it forms part of the value we bring to clients. While we remain hopeful that our country will continue to prosper and thrive peacefully, we can't help but feel a sense of concern for her future. Malaysia often celebrates her multi-ethnic and culturally rich society, but when we look closely, the thread that binds us feels more fragile than ever. The fragility that we face today should be seen as an opportunity - a call for us to reflect, rebuild, and come together as a stronger nation. Selamat Hari Malaysia 🇲🇾. 🧧 Happy Chinese New Year! 🧧 🐍 As we welcome the Year of the Snake, I am once again trying to navigate the Chinese customs, this year being told that the two dishes that I made for the family gathering were new year no-no’s! Fortunately, I’m also Westernised enough to be comfortable that I haven’t cursed us for the year 🤞 . I've often found myself straddling two worlds, brought up in a Chinese household in London. And it can be confusing for others as well: as an expat in Shanghai, I was assumed to be a local by other expats, while the locals could clearly tell that I was not one of them! The balancing act between the hard work, respect for family, and humility of my Chinese roots, and the individualism and self-expression of the West, hasn’t always been easy. Over time, I’ve come to realise that these dual influences have given me a broader perspective and the ability to navigate different environments with empathy and understanding. This observation has also deepened my belief in the power of diversity and inclusion. Embracing different backgrounds and experiences not only enriches our understanding but strengthens us as individuals and communities. By celebrating differences, we can create an environment where everyone’s voice is valued, fostering innovation and growth. As we move forward in the Year of the Snake, let’s remember that diversity and inclusion isn’t a passing fad that can be left behind—they are essential in creating a flourishing, more connected society. At a time when D&I initiatives are under fire, how can we continue to maintain and champion diversity and inclusion in both our professional and personal lives? #Diversity #Inclusion #CulturalIdentity #PersonalGrowth #Leadership #ChineseNewYear
