Meet BETA Equine Thesis of the Year 2024 Finalist: Jake Draper, University of Limerick Title: An Investigation Into The Profitability of First-Season Thoroughbred Sires Jake Draper, a 23-year-old from West Cork in Ireland. He recently graduated with a 2:1 second class honours BSc Degree in Equine Science from the University of Limerick. Jake is currently working at Ashtown Stud in Tipperary where, under exceptional guidance, he is continuing to learn more about the thoroughbred industry, especially breeding and horse care. Jake hopes to progress within the industry and add more skills to his repertoire with the aim of one day owning and managing his own thoroughbred breeding operation.
