VitreaLab’s disruptive technology will revolutionise displays as we know them. Located in Vienna, Austria, it is a a spin-off company from the Quantum Group at the Universität Wien, with founding member the 2022 Nobel Prize laureate Anton Zeilinger. VitreaLab’s disruptive technology will revolutionise the displays as we know them. The fine control of hundreds to million laser beams allows to finally unlock Augmented Reality for outdoor as well as fully-immersive lightweight Virtual Reality goggles. The core product is the Quantum Light Engine, a laser-powered illumination device producing directional, ultra-bright, and efficient light in the form of a laser beams grid. Through the EU Photonics Accelerator Programme, VitreaLab partnered with Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium. Ready for new innovative research featuring XIMEA cameras? ☄ Researchers from Yonsei University, recently conducted a study using our #xiSpec hyperspectral camera. Their research presents a novel method for demosaicing raw images captured by multispectral cameras. The results show significant improvements in resolution and color fidelity compared to traditional methods. I TOUCHED AN #HOLOGRAM! 🤯Watch until the end! This is the coolest thing I’ve seen at SXSW 2024. 🫳🏼 In 2008, a research group at the University of Tokyo reported that airborne ultrasound can create haptic sensations on a bare skin. Since then, many universities, companies, and start-ups have attempted to commercialize this concept. However, the haptic stimulations created so far have been limited to weak and specific vibrations. 🫴🏼 The #HaptoCloud project broadened the variety of haptic sensations that can be created and enabled universal and versatile “tactile reproduction” through ultrasound. The days of “faint and vague” ultrasound haptics are over. 🪼 This technology can now reproduce realistic haptic sensations with 3D visual objects, creating a more lifelike experience. Moreover, the new technology is widening the workspace and enables “haptics anytime, everywhere.” This is the first step to cloudify #haptics. #sxsw2024 #innovation

🔬 Cutting-edge Synchrotron Unveiled! 🚀 Yesterday, I had the privilege of witnessing scientific history in the making at the Nanoterasu Synchrotron The facility just launched operations last week, and it is nothing short of revolutionary—with 10 beamlines buzzing with potential, ready to unlock a new realm of research and industrial innovation. What is remarkable is the synergy of academia and industry that brought this project to life. A coalition of industry partners has contributed to financing nearly half the setup costs, and seven beamlines are reserved for their interests, showcasing an impressive model of collaboration that paves the way for future advancements. It was an honor to tour the Synchrotron and Sendai University, where the fusion of science and partnership creates a breeding ground for breakthroughs in synchrotron beamline instrumentation, Micro- and Nanostructuring. This visit underlines our commitment at XRnanotech to be at the forefront of such transformative initiatives. By being an integral part of these developments, we aim to continuously enhance our optics and support the scientific community.
