Internship with SMRT for Signaling and Communications Maintenance During my Nitec internship with SMRT, I got the opportunity to work on signaling and communications maintenance/trainborne systems, which is a crucial component of rail operations. This hands-on experience taught me excellent technical knowledge and practical skills, which I am eager to apply in my future job. Among the important tasks I worked on were: Troubleshooting the Public Address System (PA system) and Automatic Train Information System (ATIS) carrying out STARIS (SMRT Active Route Map Information System) system checks implementing firmware changes for SMC and VDF. Doing verification tests to guarantee the accuracy and dependability of the system. These experiences have improved my technical proficiency and broadened my comprehension of the critical role these systems play in the smooth functioning of train services. I discovered how crucial accuracy, cooperation, and prompt problem-solving are to keeping the dependability and safety of train borne systems. As I advance in my career in transportation technology, I can't wait to build on this foundation.

Excited to share that I've successfully completed my summer Internship at APCPL (Aravali power company private limited)is a joint ventures company with 50%share of NTPC (National thermal power corporation) and 25% of IPGCL(Indraprastha power Generation company) 25% of Haryana power Generation Company (HPGCL)! 🌟 It's been an enriching experience where I've gained invaluable insights into Turbine Operations: Understanding the functioning and operation of different types of turbines used in thermal power plants. Maintenance Techniques: Learning preventive and corrective maintenance techniques to ensure turbine efficiency and reliability. Troubleshooting: Developing skills in identifying and resolving common issues and malfunctions that affect turbine performance. Safety Protocols: Adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures specific to turbine maintenance activities in a high-risk environment. Tools and Equipment: Familiarizing with specialized tools and equipment used for turbine maintenance, including their operation and maintenance. . Under T&P Cell DSEU, final-year BCA students had the opportunity to embark on a technical industrial visit to the IT center of Tata Power-DDL - CINNET IT, Netaji Subhash Place on 6th Dec 2024. The company organized a series of enlightening sessions to ensure students gained a comprehensive understanding of industry practices, comprising of following sessions: Ms. Aasha Rana, Head of the IT Users and Service Department , shared her expertise in managing IT services and user support, emphasizing the importance of streamlined operations. Ms. Vidushi, Assistant Head of the IT Infrastructure Department , provided an in-depth overview of infrastructure management, showcasing how a strong IT backbone supports the company’s objectives. Mr. Gaurav Jha, from the Customer Service Technology , highlighted the significance of client interactions and problem-solving skills in maintaining customer satisfaction. Mr. Tarun Batra, the Head of the IT Department, captivated the students with his profound insights and guidance, inspiring them to envision broader horizons for their careers.
