Join Newport Healthcare in this upcoming Complimentary CE Webinar Uncovering the Connections: Mapping the Nervous System through the Lens of Polyvagal Theory with Gabrielle Juliano-Villani, LCSW Delve into the complex architecture of the nervous system through the lens of polyvagal theory (PVT). Explore how this groundbreaking framework provides a comprehensive understanding of the intricate connections and regulatory mechanisms that underlie our physiological, emotional, and social experiences. Together, we will map our nervous systems for a deeper understanding of how we respond to stress in our environments and our own emotional regulation, to inform true self-care. https://lnkd.in/gZepsMay

Come check out my poster this Wednesday if you're in Boston for MRS! I'm presenting on-going work with Dr. Vivian Santamaría García and advised by Dr. Svetlana Boriskina on the opto-electronic response of the nodal line semimetal PbTaSe2, a topological material. Our study aims to uncover the effects of symmetry breaking and spin-orbit coupling in nodal line semimetals on light-matter interactions, as well as their potential applications in IR/THz photodetection. I'm particularly excited to share recent experimental results on local photocurrent responses which were collected with a setup that I've been constructing. 🤠 Details: Weds, Dec 4th, 8-10pm QT03.09.06 Optoelectronic Response of Nodal Line Semimetal PbTaSe2 Hynes, Level 1, Hall A Also, check out my labmates' presentations: https://lnkd.in/ea5pCecg

The UNH Collection of Insects and Other Arthropods (UNHC) is dedicated to enhancing our understanding of arthropods and sharing these insights with both the UNH community and the broader public. 🦋🪰 With nearly 700,000 specimens and counting, the UNHC stands as the largest arthropod repository and research collection in New England. Check out how students like Emily Malone ‘25 are contributing to this knowledge, such as her recent work imaging a moth for the LepNet collection. 📸 Learn about other notable discoveries in the Fall 2024 issue of Thrive: https://lnkd.in/gUZUup8V
