Great leadership role here

🗓 Two Weeks ... In this contract role and in my last role, I have given far more than your typical 'Murican two-week notice. Others may disagree with me, but if you're leaving a company you care for, and people you care about, it's part of your role until the very bitter(sweet) end to leave them in the best position possible as you transition out. So the past *few* weeks, I've been heads down putting together handover docs, links to strategic documentation, and thinking ahead to keep the content engine moving and grooving until the agency I've been contracting with finds its new content queen (or king!). Every situation is different. I've left roles with a two-week notice and no one has batted an eye. If you're in a toxic environment, you SHOULD get out, as soon as you can. But it pays to take a moment to think about what lasting impression YOU want to leave if a company has done right by you. I'm working hard now so I can take a nice, solid break before jumping into my next role. And I'm super excited to tell you more ... in two weeks. ;) P.S. Woah...I'm off to the (channel) Islands 🏝️ Some of the team from Greenwoods Legal LLP are swapping screens and teams for some IRL facetime (it's just better) with existing introducers and hopefully some new ones over the next 3 days. A whistle stop tour taking in both islands in 3 days, I think we've got about 15 meetings/breakfasts, lunches and coffees booked in so apologies in advance if I'm a bit jittery when we meet... it's definitely the excitement that comes with relationship building (nothing to do with the coffee ☕). These trips are part of a strategic focus on building relationships with strategic partners on the islands, if we don't manage to see you this time around it won't be long before we are back! In the meantime if you see me stocking up on bananas it's because the potassium offsets the caffeine... No... As we come to the end of November and into our busiest month of the year (as well as last) I think it’s super important to reflect upon BIG and SMALL wins 🏅🙌🏼 My top 5 highlights have got to be: 1. Coming off the tools to run my business rather than being in the business. 2. Investing new equipment - a upholstery and carpet cleaner. We get to meet so many different businesses and people who we might not have been able to help before. 3. Learning new business strategies, networking and attending courses. (Being nominated for a national cleaning award) and having other cleaning businesses to lean on rather seeing them as competition. 4. Hiring our first ever admins assistant!
