Update/Update: if THIS post gets 50 reactions by Monday morning and anyone DMs me a link to download a fully designed room with equipment, I’ll use it in the video and share credit. Update: if THIS post gets 100 reactions by Dec 13th, I’ll create a video to demonstrate as a holiday gift. Anthony - since your post has over 100 reactions, I thought I should repost it to say, “Thank you!” in honor of Thanksgiving 🦃 It so great to see a new product like Hypar in the market taking planning to a new level. Now that you support equipment planning…I have had people ask if we need to show the next level of planning opportunities. 1. Start with a dRofus room templates with planned occurrences that is linked to a Revit room. For the Item configuration use BIM ID as they key to link the Revit family name and type and connect them to dRofus items. Using this configuration avoids needing to write anything to the family and keep them linked to dRofus Items. 2. Create your space program in dRofus with these room templates to define planned requirements. 3. Design these room template layouts in Revit and upload them into Hypar as standard space types. 4. Import your planned space program into Hypar and bring the dRofus ID. 5. Complete the design in Hypar. 6. Open the Hypar design in Revit, sync occurrences with dRofus to validate planned requirements to Hypar design. To your original post, many of our Australian champions already have room templates linked to full space programs in dRofus. Maybe for the next dRofus User Group Adam Hetherington.
While in San Diego a couple of weeks ago I caught up with my old friend Brok Howard, AIA, who mentioned that the Australian government had standardized on using dRofus for their public work. I came home and without changing anything in Hypar I imported a default dRofus space program and started designing a healthcare facility in about 20 seconds. For our Australian friends and other dRofus customers, try it, it's fun!
Updated the challenge and need your help. Just need a few more reactions and a small request.
I think you should do it anyways - it is the season for giving! :)
Hopeful you make the video and it reaches many of my colleagues at Page. Especially Ethan Fichter, trusted advisor to one of the greatest modern day companies!
