The job outlook for marketing so far is growing 6% form 2022-2023. Average opening for job openings is 34,000, this is including advertisers and marketing managers. You get paid well in any state but there are some states that pay more or better than others. Including New York, California, Colorado and Illinois. Alright, serious question—what’s the deal with unpaid internships? I get it, experience is valuable, but asking someone to work full-time with zero pay feels... off, doesn’t it? It’s one thing to offer a learning environment where interns gain real skills, but expecting them to handle real responsibilities without any monetary compensation? That’s asking too much. After all, time and effort have value, and interns—often students—have bills to pay, too. The benefits should go both ways, right? ALL INTERNSHIPS SHOULD BE PAID. Period. Any student who works in an unpaid capacity is being EXPLOITED. Furthermore, unpaid internships exclude those who are economically disadvantaged - public university students who work full or part-time to help pay their family's bills and simply cannot afford to take unpaid work. This means that unpaid internships are NOT equitable. Employers who offer unpaid internships, why are you not willing to spend a few thousand dollars a semester to hire an intern? Do you not value them enough to pay them a mere $2250-4500 for fifteen weeks of work?
