Sometimes MDU installations can be challenging. Whether it be the lack of existing cable to utilize or challenging cable home runs due to building architecture there's usually a tool out there to achieve the task your looking to do. My team and myself at GigFire this week were able to circumvent some of those challenges and settled on using the mikrotik netpower line up for getting residents of this MDU gigabit symmetrical speeds. Common question we receive is, where is the power coming from? The netpower 7r uses reverse Poe from up to 7 cables. This means as long as one customer has their system plugged in everyone's Internet stays up and running flawlessly.

Here is a tip if you're upgrading to mesh internet. More Isn't Better As a certified Eero mesh WIFI installer Pro I have installed a LOT of systems for buildings and properties ranging from small to large. On one larger installation I noticed that adding MORE eero mesh WIFI units can actually cause more problems than not having enough. Placing them closer than 30 feet apart can cause a kind of mesh feedback loop that can create intermittent drops in service! Imagine that. MORE Eero WIFI units doesn't mean better performance. It can be tricky placing the Eero units in just the right spot to maximize performance and internet speeds, the goal is to place them as high as possible away from metal or concrete.
