Mencken After reading Edelman's Trust Barometer's special report on Trust and Health, here are some takeaways and reflections: 📌 2/3 of respondents say the politicization of health is damaging trust within public health. 📌 Businesses, NGOs, Governments, and the media are becoming less trusted in health information. 📌 Whilst 2/3 of respondents felt empowered to manage their health, 50% of participants' lack of trust limits health gains. Self-reported 'good or better health' was highest when respondents were empowered and had higher trust. 💭 How do we rebuild the relationship between people and public health, ensuring autonomy, respect, and trust are central? 💭 How can those in power simultaneously support efforts to de-politicize health and optimize the health benefits which digital innovations can bring?
