This is an excellent publication, following BSI's release last year of the standard BS25700 (Organisational Response to Modern Slavery). Whereas existing legislation requires organizations with an annual turnover of £36 million or more to report on modern slavery, BS 25700 can be used by organizations of any size or type – this is critical given SMEs make up 99% of businesses and three-fifths of employment in the UK. Furthermore, this publication provides some pragmatic advice on how to tackle Human Rights and Modern Slavery issues across the supply chain.
